I just got an email with an excel file of the Macross items that will be at Wonderfest 2012 Summer, happening this Sunday, July 29. There seems to be a fair amount of kits, most of which we’ve seen before such as the Experten 1/100s and the Metal Box super deformed kits from last winter.
First up of course is Yamato Toys, which will be displaying three items on their roster. From what we can assume from their recent twitter post, a painted prototype of it’s new web exclusive limited edition 1/60 VF-4G. We are also expecting them to post the final price for it on their display since they said that it will be announced on this very day. Lastly, we can also assume that Yamato will send me a production preview toy to look at. What? If people can get a hold my email to send me an excel file, Yamato can certainly get a hold of my address. C’mon guys… We won’t tell Graham. It’ll just be between you, me and the two people that read this front page. What front page? Macross World has a front page?
They’ll also be displaying their 1/72 “Gold Treatment” VF-1S frame. This is something that I will buy if it came with a matching gold necklace. I mean, if I’m going to build this, then I gotta get OG on this biznatch and represent! You see what I’m sayin’? Whoah! What just happened there?
And last from Yamato is their Real Replica Model Basara Nekki Electric Guitar. They say that this guitar is so accurate that it’s wired to give you complete control of a VF-19Kai should one ever get built. I think who ever buys one should open one up and see if this is true.
[Legal: The opinions of this article does not reflect that of Macross World and its owners, staff or members, nor does it condone any actions encouraged by EXO. In fact if you open up your guitar and you don’t find anything inside, you can blame EXO. You can’t sue him, but you can still blame him.]
Next up is MRD, Model Replica Design, who will be bringing their kit of the TV version Macross in 1/3000 scale.

It says on their site that I need permission to post these images, but I can’t read japanese.
Experten will have their awesome 1/100 scaled valkyries.
Here’s their VF-5000 Mirage

And their 1/100 VF-1D 2 seater, you know I saw 1/100 2 seaters from another company that make veritechs valkyries but they only had one seat… go figure.

This one if from someone called Goldfish. I don’t know if it’s a partsformer or what but from what I can tell it has excellent proportions.

Not much to see here from someone called @CREaTers… It’s a Ranka statue

Alright, these guys are called Seventh Moon, so appropriately they have Macross Seven items. A 1/72 VF-19 and option parts for what I’m guessing is a previously released VF-17. They mention Hasegawa on the post but I don’t remember Hasegawa making a VF-17 Nightmare.

UFO Man Non Scale Macross Frontier
Alright I’m tired and I’m halfway thru the list. Let’s call this one Part One and I’ll be back tomorrow with Part Two, that’ll include an FB2012 Minmay statue (how come no one ever makes Hikaru and Misa?) and a 1/100 Nousjadeul-Ger kit… by the time I wake up it’ll probably be posted on the forums…
