DYRL Hybrid Pack Promo In Glorious HD on Youtube

HD link: Here

From ANN:

The video highlights the various bonuses that will ship with the 30th Anniversary Box bundle, including a new code to download the The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? game from the PlayStation Store. The side-scrolling shooter game originally shipped for the PlayStation console in 1999. The 30th Anniversary Box will also have an all-color booklet, a miniaturized version of the theatrical pamphlet, a miniature poster collection, a mini pencil sketch collection, a box illustrated by Hidetaka Tenjin, an archive of animemagazines, and a strip of actual film.

The 30th Anniversary Box’s discs will include over 90 minutes of bonus footage, such as the first Blu-ray Disc release of the original video anime epilogue The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Flash Back 2012. Other extras will include a discussion about the origins of the Macross series with creator/mechanical designer Shoji Kawamori and his design mentor Kazutaka Miyatake, a “Do You Remember Love? Flash Back 1984” documentary, the anime movies that were made for the Sega Saturn Do You Remember Love? game, the “Do You Remember the Taste?” ads and commericals of the past, the image board gallery, trailers, and special footage.

Namco Bandai Games will release the regular edition of the Hybrid Pack for 7,140 yen (about US$88), and the limited-edition 30th Anniversary Box will cost 13,800 yen (US$171). Both versions will ship in Japan on July 26.

Angel’s Paint Special Edit Presentation

As part of Macross World’s celebration of Macross’ 30th Anniversary and this year coinciding with the year the Megaroad was launched as seen in Flashback 2012, we will be giving a special monthly video presentation. We start off appropriately enough with Angel’s Paint. The song and animation that features the footage mostly associated when discussing Flashback 2012. This unofficial version has been edited to run all the way thru the song, unlike the two parter found on the commercial release.
Enjoy!

The 1/60 Fan Racer: Yamato’s first Macross Model Kit

Yamato fan racer

Yamato Toys surprised their collectors when they announced the 1/60 Fan Racer  as a model kit. To be released at the Shizuoka Hobby Show 2009, this marked the first time Yamato has  put out an unbuilt model kit. The fan racer, made of ABS plastic was relatively easy to put together, it even held together without any glue. The first release was in white and then it was subsequently released again in December in pearl gray as a set with the Angel 1/60 VF-1A Angel Bird custom scheme and then again in clear plastic with the Angle bird as a promotion in Macross Chronicle issue 48, April 2010.  The first release lacked the Hikaru pilot figure but then it was included in the latter sets. I do believe HLJ offered the later Fan Racer releases by itself on their website.
