eugimon Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 (edited) wow... so uhm, when is that 1/48 compatible version coming out? Edited September 9, 2004 by eugimon Quote
whytwolf Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Absolutly outstanding work John. It makes me cry to think that the low viz 1S valk I was working so hard on is a POS compared to this masterpiece.... Ah well, just sets the bar a little higher for the rest of us methinks Sean Quote
Valk009 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Great work! The captain has rested well enough...now get back to work and get us that launch vehicle!!! Quote
cobywan Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 You should make another one for Monkey to take to Wonderfest. It deserves a big picture in Hobby Japan. For real. Maybe your Dream Pod 9 friends would like to run an article on it. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Simply brilliant, such a simple paint scheme but it turns out great!!! Good work Cap Quote
neptunesurvey Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 I most agree. Its looking great in that paint scheme. Are you still planning on making the launch vehicle for the booster? Quote
captain america Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Hi Neptune. It all depends on if the demand is there. Before I get into sculpting it, I want to make sure that the people who ordered and paid for booster kits actually get them, and are satisfied with them. Once all this is settled, and if the requests are numerous enough, the launch vehicle will get done. Quote
gnollman Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Holy... man, that thing is awesome. I think it's the best Macross kit I've seen for a while.... Quote
Grayson72 Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 wow... so uhm, when is that 1/48 compatible version coming out? Enough with the 1/48 thing, that ain't ever gonna happen. Besides this is the model section not the toy section. Quote
jardann Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Looking fantastic John! That's all I can say! Quote
Ghadrack Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Absolutely stunning, I had no idea how cool the finished product would look. You guys have amazing skills. Period. Quote
ChristopherB Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Enough with the 1/48 thing, that ain't ever gonna happen. Besides this is the model section not the toy section. Right on Chad, don't pull any punches my friend! If it isn't a model/resin kit, and if it isn't 1/72 scale, then who gives a damn. Seriously though, 1/100 scale is cool as far as the IHP VB-6, and the 1/48 Club M Recasts, but that's it. Quote
flash Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I love you. You're still not getting my Bud Light... Quote
guncross2 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Yo dude, what the? pieces doesn't hold together, ain't this a snap fit kit? What the? I have to paint this thing? dude a regular Bandai HG is much better then this! refund dude! Quote
Valkyrie Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 (edited) Yo dude, what the? pieces doesn't hold together, ain't this a snap fit kit? What the? I have to paint this thing? dude a regular Bandai HG is much better then this! refund dude! If you truely feel that way, then I suggest you go out and buy yourself the Bandai HG version instead. I do hope you are kidding. But if that's not the case... Did you make any attempt to understand exactly what it was you were buying? I mean, does anyone really think "pre-colored and snap-fit" when they hear the words "resin-cast garage kit"? And hell, even the base Hasgawa kit would need to be glued and painted.... captain america Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 LoLoL! It's ok Valkyrie, I know him. Guncross is actually a good friend of mine Quote
guncross2 Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Good friend? I 've been promoded I thought I was only good for left-overs and defective pieces of your work. Anyway, your kit is GREAT! I can't wait to start it and I WILL mod it like I said I would. Quote
captain america Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Hey Cap,Did the pilot arrive yet? Actually no, it hasn't. I was wondering about that earlier this week... But then, it all depends on what service was used, and where it came from. And the fact that Canada post are just plain slow. Quote
jardann Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Wow, its going on two weeks. I didn't use any special service when I sent it. It was just in a regular envelope with some extra cardboard for padding so I didn't think that any special treatment would be needed. I am in St. Louis MO though so I guess its not too outrageous that it hasn't arrived yet. Hope it arrives soon. That fantastic model you built deserves a pilot to make it ready for action. Quote
Capt Hungry Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Haven't poked my head in on this thread for a bit........... Excellent work Cap'n! That looks very cool. Now how about the tracked vehicle that the valk and booster get carried on................ Hehe!! (ducks) Quote
onezero Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Forgive the silly question ... but I'm old and my memory ain't what it was. Never was, come to think on it. In the show, are the boosters reuseable, like the Space Shuttle's SRBs? Or are they one shot only? Quote
Gundamhead Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Forgive the silly question ... but I'm old and my memory ain't what it was. Never was, come to think on it.In the show, are the boosters reuseable, like the Space Shuttle's SRBs? Or are they one shot only? Heya boss! Check here for some info. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=10572 Basically it was never known. We kinda decided they would be re-used if they had put the effort in to customize the schemes. Quote
