Jolly Rogers Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Fully restored KITT with operational dashboard Quote
Angel's Fury Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 COOL!!! But who's gonna want to buy it for $40,000 - $60,000?? Quote
Jolly Rogers Posted July 23, 2004 Author Posted July 23, 2004 I would if I could spare that kind of money. Quote
GreenGuy42 Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 I'm damned glad it was restored. I saw KITT sitting in a car museum not too long ago falling apart (along with a whole HOST of classics... rust on a Hemi Cuda?? bastards) Quote
Skull Leader Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 a 2 gallon stunt-tank? That would SO have to come out... with an older Chevy 350 in it, you might make it to the end of the block and back..... I've always loved the mid-80's trans-am/firebirds, but I could buy my own, have it refurbished and then mod it to be near identical to this for a great deal less..... Quote
Mechabuilder Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 Even after so much time and money invested.. Its still falling apart. Picture 3. The seat back cover is LOOSE Quote
bsu legato Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 So how many K.I.T.T.s did they build for Knight Rider? the description for the auction seems to imply that it's the one and only K.I.T.T. Surely there was more than one. Heck, the Duke of Hazzard used more than one Charger. Heck, even (the original) Starsky & Hutch used multiple Torinos. Quote
Blaine23 Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 If I had that car, everyday I get in it and go to work while saying: "Blaine23, a lone crusader in a dangerous world... the world of the Knight Rider." Then I'd push play on the CD player, kick up the theme music. Then I'd go to work. Yeah. That'd make me so damn cool. Wouldn't it? No, I guess it wouldn't. Quote
Southpaw Samurai Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 I'd be willing to pay the price if it included William Daniels locked in the trunk connected to the car's speakers so I could have actual conversations with K.I.T.T. as I drove it to the gas station to fill it up and then bring it back home before I'm empty again.
