Hi all,

im new on this forum and have tried looking around but cant find what i am after.

The other day i picked up a 5 figure macross set here in sydney, it included a destroid and valk with the deep space armour and missles (if that makes sense to anyone) full assembled and moveable. the other three needed to be built, two from scratch that could be put in either jey/gaurdian/robot mode and another final one that required a slight bit of assembly but is in robot mode. all are about 8cm tall standing.

They were meant to come individually but i scored them as the set

i know this is a vague description but my flatmate cleared out the box before i thought of trying to track down anymore sets.

My questions are(if any one actually knows what i am on about) are there any other sets in the series as i beleive mine was 2nd edition?

where can i get them in Sydney(or order on the net)?

does any one know of any other (around 8cm high or to that scale) sets, preferablly with some zentradi mechs?

Welcome to MW polar, I'm sure you'll find everything Macross related here, and then some. Just to let you know, the canon mode terms are: fighter (jet), gerwalk (half jet-half robot) and battroid (robot). You'll be happy to know that there are other members here from down under. :)

I'm sure Scand is right.

As for if there are other sets, aside from the K&M set #1, there are also three sets in a similar size by Bandai, and one set by Kaiyodo.

Note I said similar size, not similar scale. Because the figs are basically non-scale--some of the figs in the various sets would have to be much bigger if they were to be in scale with the Valkyries (not all of which are the same size, either).

Anyway, I have the K&M set #2, like you, and I think it's really nice. So is the Bandai #3 which I have. It includes two Zentradi Mechs: a Glaug (officer's battle bod) and a TV-style (Green) Queadluun-Rau (female powered armor).

G'day from another aussie! Take my advice, look overseas for all your anime toy shopping. You'll save heaps. Find a good dealer in Hong Kong or Singapore and buy there. That way you get cheap prices and the shipping distance isn't too far. There's a few sellers on these boards from those parts that are very reliable and great to deal with.

Forget about buying in sydney. There are a couple of places in the city that you can buy stuff from. But they are so overpriced it's only worth going there to have a laugh.

But, if you wanna check em out try:

Cartoon Gallery, in the Imperial Arcade, Pitt st city.

Anime Zone - Market City shopping centret, Haymarket

Hobbyco - (gundam kits mostly) Mid City Centre in Pitt st

and ther's another one on the lower ground floor of a shopping arcade along pitt st, about halfway between park st and market st. On the left hand side if you're walking towards market st.
