Montarvillois Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 (edited) Found this by mistake on a japanese website. While it is not a valk, I think it is a kickass example of what the future of macrsso could have been would the series have progressed like the Gundam series for example. Comments ? treatment Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 yeah. those legs make it look worse than weird. it looks like a really gay arm-slave/aestivalis mecha. heh! Quote
zeo-mare Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 i like it it, is a very sleak design , by the way you spelled Macross wrong (macrsso) Quote
wolfx Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 It looks like a kojima designed mecha. If you though this was ugly...wait till you see the Vic Viper from Zone Of The Enders 2. Quote
Knight26 Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 Interesting design, but where do the engines go post in battroid mode? Quote
zeo-mare Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 it looks like there behind its head on its back chris Quote
vf2ss Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 those legs look weird that way I like the design except for those legs! Looks like stiletto high heels... Quote
JELEINEN Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 It'd have to be incredibly light. Those feet don't have much displacement. Quote
valk1j Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 (edited) It'd have to be incredibly light. Those feet don't have much displacement. This thing would drive itself into the ground up to its knees if it was walking on dirt. Speaking of the knees they look like their jointed the other way. Edited July 15, 2004 by valk1j Quote
Hurricane29 Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 With different legs, it would be a cool design. Quote
ewilen Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 (edited) I think reverse-joint knees could be nice, but they'd need to be flexed more and the feet need to be bigger. Also, where does the pilot go? Edited July 15, 2004 by ewilen Quote
UN Spacy Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 It looks rather Zone of the Enders-ish. Boy needs to work out them legs and get them nice and sessy. Quote
JB0 Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 It looks like a kojima designed mecha. If you though this was ugly...wait till you see the Vic Viper from Zone Of The Enders 2. Now I have to get the game just to see what's been done to the poor star of Gradius. Quote

It all makes sense now....glowing balls of energy shooting stuff at you, wave cannon things......pffft.....sillly of me not to make the connection since it transforms. Quote
Zentrandude Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 I think reverse-joint knees could be nice, but they'd need to be flexed more and the feet need to be bigger. Also, where does the pilot go? there isnt space for a cockpit for a pilot to be in. my best guess a robot or a drone. Quote
Mislovrit Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 Montarvillois by any chance you could post the homepage of the pic? Quote
Yohsho Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 It looks great, but where's the pilot supposed to go? or is it one of those no-pilot transforming robots. Quote
eugimon Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 interesting... I second the posting of the homepage motion. Quote

Syngyne Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 i like it it, is a very sleak design , by the way you spelled Macross wrong (macrsso) And you spelled sleek wrong (sleak). Quote
Blaine23 Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 It looks pretty cool to me. I like the small feet/legs because I'm a bit bored on oversized feet in mecha design. Also, I like the way the wings fold along the arms. It's tough to make a transforming jet that doesn't look anything like Kawamori... this one does it well. Quote

bsu legato Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 It's interesting, but as far as "real world" practicality goes it doesn't hold a candle to anything Kawamori has designed in the last 15 years. It certainly isn't concerned with features like a pilot & cockpit, or engines. I'd still buy a model of it, though. Quote

rnurmin Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 Like the fighter and robot mode (except for the legs) Thanks for posting this, Montarvillois Quote

Sumdumgai Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Looks like a cross between a valkyrie and a hardsuit from BGC... Quote
Wabbit Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 It looks great, but where's the pilot supposed to go? or is it one of those no-pilot transforming robots. The pilot will be squished inside the cockpit that doesn't excist anymore when transforming into a battroid. The devellopment team still need to find a less painful solution for that. Seriously, the legs are fugly. Bubblegum Crisis in extreme forms. Quote
