RangerKarl Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 What are you doing for flight physics? How about mecha movement, will it be tracked with leg animation timed in, or what? Quote
Razor x Posted July 15, 2004 Author Posted July 15, 2004 the Operation Flashpoint engine has amazing simulation like physics. for aircraft and ground based vehicles, boats and characters . here is a web site devoted to the game: http://flashpoint.gamezone.cz/index.php?sp...les/addons.html mecha movement is only limited to the abilities of the addon maker , i am new at this so my addons are very crude but in time as my skill will develop. for version 1.0 i just plan to get all mecha and characters in game then i will go back and start version 2.0 and hopefully with the aid of new members this version will be more developed. right now i have the ability to give my mecha some basic animations ie walking arm and waist movement , i would like to find someone skilled in 3d animation and script writing then we can have more exotic animations to include TRANSFORMATION!!! this game engine has no limit ! only your imagination and skill. right now i am trying to get Robotech/Macross fans interested in this mod. the more members we have on the team the faster we will complete this mod. belive it or not making addons for this game is very easy and once you have the basics down you can add any 3d model into this game even a full scale SDF-1!!! if you or any one is interested in addon making for this game here is the best tutorial site i know: http://ofp.info/brsseb/ thank you for your interest and please spread the word! all the sofware tools to Mod this game are available on the internet for FREE!!! mk16 Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 (edited) It you guys are able to pull this off, my childrens children will be honoring you. Wel after one of you becomes my babys daddy >< Edited July 25, 2004 by mk16 Quote
Wes Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 (edited) It looks like, if apathy doesn't grab hold of you for the next 6 months, you could do something relatively cool. You shouldn't be attached to SDF-Macross 2009 time, though - it's been done to death. Look at Macross Compendium and find a time that interests you. I think you'll get alot of brownie points if you cover a point in time that isn't often covered. Don't get too creative though; I saw what looks like Rei from Evangelion in the third pick - crossovers always come out retarded. Edited July 26, 2004 by Wes Quote
Razor x Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 hehe dont worry about Rei we just used code scripts and model from her she will not be in the mod:) Quote
Razor x Posted August 1, 2004 Author Posted August 1, 2004 hi guys here a new pic http://home.pacbell.net/lanza32/rick_take_off.jpg if you have some game making skills and would like to help please send me an email at: lanza32@pacbell .net Quote
Chronocidal Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Hmm.. what kind of limits does the engine have? Polycount, and texture size especially.. because if this game could handle some of the fancy 3d models that've been made, you'd have one beautiful Macross game on your hands. Also, considering this program's set in modern day times, why not do a Macross Zero scenario? Maybe tell the story of the Unification War, and end with the beginning of SDF Macross? Should be easy to find a Tomcat for that game if it's easy to mod, so you've got a lot of the stuff done already that way. Quote
Tomato Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 I think I played operation flashpoint or it's demo or something, and I remember having to control vehicles with the mouse and keyboard. I'm not sure if that's right, but in your mod will you be able to fly a valk (or control any vehicle for that matter) with a joystick and throttle? Quote
Razor x Posted August 3, 2004 Author Posted August 3, 2004 yes! if you go to the controls screen there is an enable joystick option RaZoR X...OuT! Quote

CID Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 Razor X, I wish you the best of luck in finishing the MOD. I own the game (OF) and I have not even play it (I play no more than 10 hours on it). If this MOD gets done, I might have use of it Since, I have no skill in programing or anything related to MOD, I just have to hope that others who can help out, will. Quote
mbs357 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 Amazing! Can't wait to see how this mod progresses, good luck! =D Quote
