Synch Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 At the SDCC there will be an Toynami - Macross Hikaru VF-1S - This piece will be limited to a run of 1000 shared between the Anime Expo, San Diego Comic Con and WizardWorld Chicago & an Toynami - Robotech Exclusive - This piece will be limited to a run of 200 shared between the Anime Expo, San Diego Comic Con and WizardWorld Chicago, but details on the actual piece have not yet been released. I was wondering if any of you guys know how much these will cost? Or would have pictures of them? I'm wondering if the macross peice is transformable or not & how tall it is IE would it look good next to say my MP prime? Or is ti really tiny Quote
Ghadrack Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Unless I am mistaken you are looking for the VF-1S DYRL Super poseable (Non-transformable toynami convention exclusive and the extremely limited edition masterpiece bookends featuring Rick Hunter limited to 200 pieces at a retail cost of $200. I think there are pictures of a superposeable next to a 1/48 and a 1/60 around here someplace, they aren't tiny but they are slightly skewed scale wise, a little thinner and more toy-like than most of the transformable versions in my opinion. jasonkimberson Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 (edited) the Limited to 1000 Pc Super Possiable retails at the convention for 15 bucks the bookends cost 200, but they only sell 10 or so a day at the convetion. (you have to raffle for a chance to buy them, which makes them VERY hard to get) happy hunting O ya, this topic might be in the wrong section....(the super possiable is a macross toy i guess, but the bookend isn't ) Edited July 13, 2004 by jasonkimberson Quote
Solscud007 Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 (edited) Yeah Goldenboy and I both got the bookends at AX. One guy was almost crying cause it was like the third day he's been trying to get these things. Oh it was my gf who won them and bought them for me. she was the first person to be called/drawn on Saturday at AX Edited July 13, 2004 by Solscud007 Quote
bigkid24 Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 How many people were there for the raffle to pick up a set of the bookends? I'm just curious what kind of competition I'll be facing at con. Quote
goldenboy_forever Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 I'd say close to 50+ people. I was a lucky to get one becasue I knew a girl working at anime expo so she and her workers got like a whole bunch of tickets and won 5 so she gave me one winning ticket. The vf 1j looks nicer that the vf 1s because of the decals they put on it or the painted un spacy on the leg. Also the battle damage on the battle pod is nice you can see the detail work on the inside of the pod also some blood. Good luck. I'll tell you a secret just pm me. Oh ya they gave out raffel tickets from 10-12 in the morning From Rich Quote

EXO Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 (edited) The screwed up thing at AX was that Pat and me lined up for 2 hours to get into the dealers room the first day to get these damn bookcase for GoldenBoy. The line didn't move until half an hour after it was suppose to. By then Toynami had already raffled off the first 10 to the people they let in early. Handicaps, dealers, friends of dealers, friends of people that work there and their mom... If theres anyway you can get them by cheating, lying, stealing or maybe sleeping with someone in a wheelchair (or their mom) I say go for it... oh yeah ANIME PUNCH!!!
