These things are gorgeous, but a nitpick... Milia doesn't look to smart looking away from her wingman in a turn....

Any chance you can do a TV Max "J" colored version of something?

Those look great!

Firefox: All your wallpapers are great. The "surfing" valk is now my background here at work.

^heh heh, when you're talking Max and Millia love really is in the air! :D (I know, corny, but I couldn't resist)

I like this one, except for a couple of things: the M & M figures don't mix well with the paintings, and the DYRL uniforms don't look right with the TV schemes. The second one is admittedly nitpicking. But I love the TV schemes and uniforms that much... :D

Beautiful work though...

Oh yeah Millia does look weird facing away, hehe.

Hi guys/gals,

Manage to get one done despite the company project. This is the plain vanila VF-1J, modified to 2500th anniversay configuration, but without the paint scheme. I intended to use the adversay paint scheme (like F-16N) rather than the original 2500th anniversary paint scheme.

I like this configuration. It is pretty similar to Mig-29 in the tail section and Mig-23 in wing root section. I'm modifying my 1/48 Yamato VF-1A to this configuration as well.

Cool wallpaper guys. I'm working on one right now, I hope to finish the detailing and coloring in tonight on the Valkyries. It's my first attempt at fan art, I just hope that when you all see it, I hope you all like it. :)

Hey madmack, cool wallpaper! Really nice for the valkyrie's shadow and lightning control!

Did you create the background as well?

Here is my Adversary Valkyrie. Instead of using F-16N scheme, I decided to use Mig-29 scheme. Hope you guys/gals like it.

Alright! I'm done with my first wallpaper! YAY!!! Now, I'm gonna post it and I hope you all like what I think is a kick ass wallpaper. For those who see it, I want you to judge it! And be straight up with your comments, I want to know the errors I made so I can avoid them on future projects. Note that the skulls aren't on right, I couldn't get them on right. I used MS Paint for this, Photoshop is too confusing.

Thanks. And is your question directed at me Lightning06?? If it is, I'll try, and this time with a nice background, or is the one I've already posted good enough with a white background?

a quickie i did for skull-1, guess he didnt like it :p

No, dude, I like it just fine. I only wish I could have given you a better image to work with. Can you give the Valk in the photo a more "paintbrushed" look or is that beyond possibility?

How do you guys adjust those colors like that (on the plain Valk you made to look like Max's and Milia's)?

I'd love to do one for my "John Deere" Valk. :)

I need good color refrences for the VF-4's detailing. It's hard to make my VF-4 wallpaper without any refrences as to what color some parts of it should be.

i dont want to judge your meaning but i think you missed the colored strip across the top of the max and milia valks other then that good job from what i can see currently

I use Photoshop to do all this. Basically to adjust colour, I used only 4 tools of the Photoshop. The first is the lasso tools to select the portion that you wanted to change the colour. After the selection, I either use the Brighness/Contrast fucntion to adjust the portion or I used Desaturate function to remove the original colour. Then I use Color Balance funtion to adjust the selected portion to the colour I wanted it to be (scroll three colour balance bars to adjust to colour you like).

After the colour balance, I would sometimes re-adjust the brightness of the selected portion to match the overall pic. I would normally use Desaturate fucntion to remove original colout first if my intended colour is far too different from th original colour. For example, if the original colour is yellow and you wanted to change it to blue, it is not so possible to use Color Balance to change it. Even using Hue/Saturation will leave some unrealistic mark to the amended colour. So I will desaturate that part first before I correct the colour to the intended one. Hope this help :D
