dyowelb
Guys/Gals, I need some help. I'm building an Ingram NYPD Swat Labor and I need to paint the rubber sleeves but unfortunately acrylic wont stay(actually it does but it flakes). Anyways, does anybody knows what type/brand of paint I can use for rubbers(needs to be flexible). I heard about V color (or is it Mr. V Color) and Pactral(Sp) but can't find any info on them. Any help is appreciated... Thanks, d

Dat Pinche Haro!
so it looks like you're not gonna sell those decals after all I would've bought them off of you if they were LAPD though maybe you should just stick to the grey that the rubber parts already come in...i mean it won't make the ingram look bad or anything IMO... dyowelb
so it looks like you're not gonna sell those decals after all I would've bought them off of you if they were LAPD though maybe you should just stick to the grey that the rubber parts already come in...i mean it won't make the ingram look bad or anything IMO... Actually I'm still selling them...I'm doing Ingram 2 and the one that i'm selling is for Ingram 1. Nah, I really need to paint it coz i burnt the seam lines and it left some black soots(sp) and it would look good unpainted... BTW, are you planning on painting your Ingram 3??? This is the look I'm going for. Thanks, d Edited June 22, 2004 by dyowelb

Dat Pinche Haro!
i guess it all depends on how much wear you put on it

Zentrandude
for rubber dyes for like clothing may work. else just make a mold and make a copy of the parts with the colored rubber ones you want.
Opus
Maybe vinyl dye like they sell at auto parts stores?
christ
I used several very thick coats of tamiya enamel on my PG evangelion's rubber elbows. It didn't flake. Just don't expect to bend it much. I used like twenty very thick coats and it seemed to have done the trick.
David Hingtgen
Testor's acryl is said to be good for vinyl I think, as it dries more flexible than most. It's glycol-based, pretty unique among hobby paints.
