BoBe-Patt Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 It's not cancelled, it's being moved from Fuji TV to Fuji's satellite station. There won't be a new episode for a long time, because they're going to show the series from the beginning again before continuing with the story. well I guess that's good to hear! As long as they keep it coming and finishing the series. Quote
eriku Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Does anyone have any links to any sort of "official" word on what's going on? I need to stop letting myself get caught up in this emotional see-saw of CANCELLED/NOT CANCELLED. Quote

Jemstone Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I don't understand, I've never even heard of an anime getting cancelled before it's full run. That's it then. I've lost my faith in new anime. After this I'm going to be afraid to start watching ANY new series for fear of getting cancelled before the story is complete. No samurai who smells like sunflowers. Are you serious? It's happen many times before. Even to a certain series with "Super Dimension" in the title. (Don't worry it wasn't Macross as that one got an extended run) Quote

The rest of the series will be released in some way or another eventually. It's just that in my case, I'm gonna have to start paying for it (bastards!). 2 DVDs are out so far -- one every month -- but they are a total rip-off 'cause you only get two episodes per disc at the usual extortionate Japanese rates. As for me, I had lost faith in anime well before this. As soon as I watched Champloo I noticed something that I might be able to get into again, then this happens. Oh well, that's life. It just means I can sleep more cos I don't have to get up at 2 or 3 in the morning anymore. Edited October 1, 2004 by Renato Quote
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 just curious but...where do you guys get your raws from? PM me with the link since i don't think you can post 'em up on MW also...went through the forums on the champloo fan site and saw no news on the series...just a bunch of rambling about where to get episodes Quote
eriku Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 16 is out now! I could watch this Anime Forever! *.org* Quote
eriku Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Episode 17 of this Anime is out, and although it seems like Forever the word on the street is that episodes 18-26 will begin airing in January. Quote
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 the ending song on this episode made it sound like the series was ending for good...it was a good episode and all...just can't wait until 18-26 show Quote

After watching it I can't help but feel like they had planned all along to take a break after episode 17. The ending, the song, the credits, the "to be (or not to be) continued" at the end...they obviously tried to set it apart from the other episodes. My hopeful speculation is that they're using the extra time to work on a Champloo movie. And I've yet to see any sort of news at all about toys, goods or any kind of product for this series. Come on, I'll take a gashapon set or even a freakin cell phone dangler...just give me something! Quote

It's meant for Divx, so go to their site for the codex. 2nd sentence: You see the 4chan thread? Look harder!(if you're into that kind of thing ) But yeah, it was a nice one. I don't see how they'll ever top ep15 though. Quote
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 (edited) actually my codex are all up to date...just that my computer is almost 4 years old... so it might just be my computer then with all it's crappiness doing all this then and i do look for hentai...just the boarder-line porno stuff...not the actual dirty stuff and isn't 15 the one where mugen is acting like a total horny puppy during the whole episode? Renato Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Also, for anyone who's interested, there is a big feature on Samurai Champloo in this month's Eyescream magazine. The webpage design is interesting but there's little to no content... http://eyescream.jp/ Quote
Renato Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 (edited) Look what else I found. http://www.tsubaci.com/ Nice, but way overpriced merchandise, though. And.... Someone requested manga..? http://champloo.project-eden.org/manga-scans.html The guy who made this page is acting all high and mighty about his precious scans, though, and even gone all the way to delete the text. It's not like he drew the damn thing himself. Edited October 28, 2004 by Renato Quote
