Anubis Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 (edited) Another sign that the world is going to hell. One Piece has been picked up by 4Kids. Now they have another show to completely butcher and bastardize. I wanted to see this show too. Heard good things about it. Guess it's on to HK discs and or Fansubs. Has any group been subbing One Piece? I haven't seen it anywhere. from AnimeNewsNetwork: 4Kids Announces One Piece (2004-06-08 10:54:30) 4Kids Entertainment announced today that they have acquired the hit anime series One Piece for domestic distribution. Additionally, according to the latest press release, One Piece will air on the Fox Box this fall. Source: GATV [ discuss ] Edited June 8, 2004 by Anubis Quote

Pirates who get shot at and resiliantly bounce back because of magical fruit (not that magical fruit ). I see heavy cutting ahead. And, of course, this means no uncut DVDs if 4Kids remains true to form. Quote
Ido Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 In Italy we have already One piece butched and adapted for kids, this is the destiny of every anime buyed by Italia 1 ... They changed the name of Monkey D. Rufy in "Rubber" just for say something. Quote
Lo-pan Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 http://kaizoku-fansubs.com/modules/news/ You'll need the Bit Torrent file sharing program to grab the files, but the subs are top-notch and the video quality is excellent. Gommu Gommu No GATLING!! Quote
JRock Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 There ARE reports of Uncut releases of Shaman King and YuGiOh! with FUNimation releasing them, so an uncut release all depends on how well these releases sell. They also released Ultraman Tiga uncut in Japanese. Quote
bob joe mac Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 ahhh man so is Kaizoku-fansubs gonna keep subbing it?? I mean they didn't stop when it had been "liscensed" before and was believed to be. But I would prefer not to go back to boolegs again and I mean I still have 100 eps to catch up to the japanese release Quote
