Skull Leader Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 I saw in the paper where a pilot of the VF-103 Jolly Rogers came to my area public schools and gave a talk about being a pilot to all of the elementary schools. Apparently he is from the area and has two neices that go to school here. There was a picture in the paper of the pilot with his neices and their classmates (patch was in full display of course). I thought it was cool because I never would've thought someone from the famed Jolly Rogers (ok ok, I have to call it "Skull Squadron") would have anything to do with my hometown. Although, the paper made a mistake and said he flew an F-14D, when the VF-103 flies F-14Bs. Quote
Warmaker Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 That's cool. On a different note, aren't they converting to Super Hornets soon? Quote

Skull Leader Posted June 8, 2004 Author Posted June 8, 2004 If I had advance knowledge of his visit, I would've made an attempt to be on hand to speak with him (he spoke at my old elementary school) about it. Quote
