Graham Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 The just released July 2004 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine has a great Macross section for Macross model fans this month. Included are: - Battroid mode conversion of the Hasegawa VF-0S model kit. Battroid mode conversion of the Hasegawa SV-51 in D.D. Ivanov colors. This has to be seen to be believed. Scratch built 1/72 scale reactive armor for the VF-0S. I'll try to get scans up tonight. Graham Quote
recon Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Incredible!! Gievn that the 1/72 VF-0S kit wasnt released much too long ago, and the japanese have created a transformable VF-0S in battroid mode as well as a reactive armour for it. Looking forward to see the pictures! Cheers Quote
Southcross Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 *looks at watch* *tap foot* *looks at watch* ok, show us the goods already Quote
Graham Posted May 24, 2004 Author Posted May 24, 2004 Well, it's still another 2 hours till I get home, but I won't be doing the scans immediately. My wife would be pretty pissed with me, if as soon as I got home I went on the computer straight away I'll be scanning and uploading after dinner and during the commercial breaks for Smallville and CSI which are both on tonight in HK. Dammit, where are the pics?!?! Quote
Sam Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 OMG!! You still have smallville on your tele stations! i say this cuz it was actually canned here in aus, and me and my gf kinda liked it.. but oh yeh, bring on those scans, sounds good interested to see the vfos bash.. Quote
Graham Posted May 24, 2004 Author Posted May 24, 2004 Here's the Battroid mode conversion of the Hasegawa VF-0S. I just wished the Yamato 1/100 toy looked as good Graham Quote
Graham Posted May 24, 2004 Author Posted May 24, 2004 And more pics of the Hasegawa VF-0S Battroid conversion. Graham Quote
Graham Posted May 24, 2004 Author Posted May 24, 2004 Now for the Battroid mode conversion of the Hasegawa SV-51. This is truely some insane modelling skills. Graham Quote
Graham Posted May 24, 2004 Author Posted May 24, 2004 And here's the 1/72 scale scratch built VF-0S with Reactive Armor. Note, this is not the same Battroid as above, you can tell by looking at the backpack, shoulders and nose which are very different. Graham Quote
TheFrenchOne Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Thks for the pics Graham !!! I join your point of view this battroid vf0 look muck more better than the Yamato 1/100. Quote
007-vf1 Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 that reactive armor is simply amazing. The colors are right on... Quote
Southcross Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 that reactive armor is simply amazing. The colors are right on... Thanks Graham for the wonderful scans.... I agree completely, that reactive armor is absol-freekin-lutely amazing Quote
ChristopherB Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Wow Amazing skills! I love the reactive armor. I wonder if we will ever see a GBP from Hasegawa, as well as the reactive armor? Yamato has not yet released their GBP, so perhaps Hasegawa has something planned as well. Quote
Myersjessee Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 HOLY MACKERAL!!!! AMAZING!!!! I LOVE THE REACTIVE ARMOR!!! (HEY HASEGAWA...How about hiring that guy!!!! ) Quote
Stamen0083 Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 (edited) Aside from the VF-2SS, the VF-0 is about the only Valkyrie that looks respectable in Battroid mode. This looks great. If only the feet didn't splay out towards the front so much, this would make a kick ass prototype for a Battroid VF-0S kit. Thank you much, Graham. Edited May 24, 2004 by Stamen0083 Quote
Mule Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 I'm crying here. That stuff is amazing. Yamato needs to hire some of these guys. Quote
tetsujin Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Aside from the VF-2SS, the VF-0 is about the only Valkyrie that looks respectable in Battroid mode. Nonsense. Thanks for the scans, this looks like an issue to buy. Are there any pictures of the alterations done to the parts? It seems like they changed the legs on the VF-0 a bit, and I'm guessing they changed the chest, too. (Apart from the obvious changes, splitting the parts, adding new parts, etc.) Quote
Stamen0083 Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Aside from the VF-2SS, the VF-0 is about the only Valkyrie that looks respectable in Battroid mode. Nonsense. Why's that? Because my taste differs from yours? Quote
GreenGuy42 Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 That 51 is stunning. I'm starting to like its battroid mode. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 There´s something special about the SV-51... It really looks mean. Quote
