Macross1111 Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Hi All, I am new to this forum and glad to see that there are others that share my interest. I have a general question. Does anyone know if Yamato is going to produce a 1:100 scale line of toys. I thought that they were going to do this for "OVA Macross Zero". I could be mistaken. Does anyone know if they are going to make a 1:100 VF-0S Fokker Valk? If so what will it be made out of metal or plastic? When will it be released? Finally how much would it cost? Anyone who has answers to these questions please reply. Thanks Everyone, Mac11 Quote
Graham Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Yes, Yamato are making a 1/100 scale VF-0S toy. It should be released sometime in June or July (no firm release date has been announced yet). The retail price will be somewhere around ¥4,000. The toy will be ABS and PVC, no die-cast metal. It will also require parts-swapping in order to transform as it comes with different noses for Fighter and Battroid modes. This toy has been discussed in-depth on these forums in several topics and if you do a search on the toy forums you can find more info. Graham Quote
trueblueeyes Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 (edited) You should be able to find the answers to your questions in this thread: Yamato 1/100 VF-OS. ....You can also find pics of the VF-OS in the convention threads. Hope that helps! And: Welcome to MW!! Melissa Edited May 20, 2004 by trueblueeyes Quote

kanata67 Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 finally yamato is making stuff in scale with things I already have Quote
Blaine23 Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 I don't see it as that bad at all. For a small, fun toy - I think it rocks. All of the design compomises made on the 1/100 will just make a bigger one that much better, if they ever make one. Quote
Godzilla Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Sure it is noce but not perfect transformation? I dunno if I will buy it. Sounds like a poll. I know I will buy the VB-6... That sucker is just too cool not to have. Quote
Coota0 Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 The retail price will be somewhere around ¥4,000. How much is that in dollars? Does that tailhook move? Quote
ewilen Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 This is useful to convert currency: http://finance.yahoo.com/currency?u Or you can just divide by 100 to get a very rough yen > dollar conversion. (The actual conversion comes to $35.50. The yen has dropped quite a bit since its March highs.) Quote
