yellowlightman Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 TheFrenchOne posted this pic in another topic a little while ago and I'm just wondering where I can get one or just anything about it. Edit: Make it look a little nicer. I believe xstoys had one of those at the MW Con last week, maybe he can tell us where he got it? Quote
MicronianDevil Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 That thing is great. I believe MW member VF1X has one also. Maybe Yamato should release a plush Valk. Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 Those are extremely rare. One actually popped up on e-bay about 2 months ago. Before then, the last time I saw one was in 2001. They don't go cheap, expect to pay somewhere in the hundreds. Quote
xstoys Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 Yes, I actually do own one, as well does VF1X. I first saw his at MW Con 2, & after that I had to have one. But it wasn't till a year later I finally obtained one. It didn't come cheap either. It is one of the valued pieces of my Macross collection. Someone had a BIN on ebay for $1,000.00; a bit too much if you ask me. As far as I know, 3 of us at MW own one; myself, Jerry, & Seiichi. They are tough to come by; even in Japan. But you gotta love the little thing... Quote
kidkorrupt Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 g'luck on getting one. as tlw and xs said it is pretty rare. lol, i remember some members here wanted their girlfriend to sew one and stuff it =D Quote
Commander McBride Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 Where did they originally come from, though? I've been seeing them on the boards for a while, and seen a few in person, but does anyone know when/why they were made? Quote
phatslappy Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 I think the last one I saw went for about 130+ buckeroos. Not bad, considering the helmet I want so badly is 1400 bucks! Quote
Graham Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 As well as the stuffed VF-1S, there was also a stuffed VF-19 Fire Valkyrie. Also extremely rare. I only know one person who has one. Graham Quote
Bub Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 That thing is great. I believe MW member VF1X has one also. Maybe Yamato should release a plush Valk. Transformable. Quote
JRock Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 Those stuffed dolls look like Carnival/upscale prizes. Could they be those type of toys? Quote
bigkid24 Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 They look way too big to be carnival/UFO type toys. They are pretty cool. Hey KidK, I'm still tempted to have someone make me one of those. Quote
jwinges Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 I bet my mom could whip those out like crazy. She used to make cabbage patch and care bears for all my cousins when I was a kid. Wonder how hard a pattern would be to make. Anybody know the approximate dimensions? Like Height and girth? If I could get measurements and lots of photo's from different angles I could ask her. I bet she would charge like $50 buck but I'm not sure. Quote
Valkyrie Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 There was also a plush Gubaba. I know of only one person who owns one, and I've NEVER seen one for sale.... And I've been looking since 1997, when I first saw it... Quote
TheFrenchOne Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 It seems that this lill' valk has got a lot of fans, in france ~2-3 years ago they were quite easy to find in anime shops, but not anymore. The last i saw was on http://www.mandarake.co.jp but it was months and months ago. Quote
