motley Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Katoki is the man!! the shiki is just beautiful as usual... too bad he's just parroting Nagano's designs, the Shiki is the inspiration for the knight of gold. but it does look good. and damn them for doing the Zeta, now i'm going to have to blow more money. i just hope its more stable than the Zeta plus's.
zeo-mare Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 yup the Shiki looks even more nice it is a shame it does not have the Hyper Cannon, but it looks like it has a impressive set of weapons. so i guess i am all set

Graham Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I don't care how cool it looks, but I absolutely refuse to buy something called 'Penelope Gundam', just on principle. Graham

Or is this a ver.2? Graham

GRAND CANNON Posted November 24, 2004 Author Posted November 24, 2004 -- The Freedom was actually announced back in late-Sept/early-Oct for the Jan release. Don't recall seeing any other solicitation prior to that. -- I'm also praying for the MG Marasai release (I actually think it's inevitable ). -- Yeah, the "Penelope Gundam" as a tough, impressive moniker is like acting like a tough guy at a bar while sipping a Shirley Temple through a straw. Ooooooooooooooooooo.......

Don't recall seeing any other solicitation prior to that. Ah, I was actually thinking of the Advanced-MSiA Freedom Gundam, which has actually been out for quite a while, but by all accounts is not that great. It doesn't come with any beam saber blades Graham
Mechwolf Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I noticed Hobby Link Japan has been restocked on a lot of older GFF releases. I ordered the GFF 13 Deep Striker S Gundam. To those who already own it, is there anything to be aware of with this figure? The only other GFF I have is the GFF Full Armor Gundam.
Graham Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I own 2 GFF Deep Strikers, which until recently I had on display (just put them into storage to make some space). One I kept in S-Gundam mode and the other in Deep Striker mode and I don't recall having any problems with them. Pretty good figures overall. Just be aware that the Deep Strikers big shoulder cannon will droop slightly after some time. Graham
Mechwolf Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 By "droop slightly" do you mean like a degree or two? Or like, down to it knees like a 90 year old lady? (no offense to the grandmas & great-grandmas of Macrossworld).
Graham Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Just a degree or two, not too flacid. He can still keep it up pretty good Graham
zeo-mare Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 the cannon on mine stays up very nice the only real problem i have is the peg that hold the entire backpack and boosters on is alittle loose (was manufactered this way). so if you move it around the entire backpack falls off ,since it only stays on the shelf it is no problem. other than that the figure is awesome.

Same here. I'd figure with all the engineering put into this toy, its this ONE PEG that causes it to lose points. Otherwise a 9/10 figure. Should have more pegs or at least more grapples so the backpack is secure. Too small a peg for a big *(&!@! ass back pack.

Poorly articulated, poorly detailed, no blades for its sabers (hell, no holes so you could put OTHER blades in, either), and weak wings that spent more time falling apart then properly posing. The ADMSiA Freedom Gundam makes baby jebus cry.

The ADMSiA Freedom Gundam makes baby jebus cry. you should sell it on ebay then and use the money for something cooler , i just sold mine off about a week or 2 ago and it went for around $30.00 which is more than what i spent, i would definetly recommend selling it.
wolfx Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 I am looking for photos of a GFF #0005 FAZZ which I ordered online (to put next to the coming new FAZZ) and i realise that some parts mainly the 2 backpack cannons and the giant cannon's shoulder mount, are either yellowing or had a shoddy paintjob. Anyone has one that I can confirm this? Anyway Was looking around for photos and i realise there is some sort of "browning" on the parts i mentioned....but not quite as bad. Found this cool jap site in the process. http://gff-maniax.hp.infoseek.co.jp/

Found this cool jap site in the process. http://gff-maniax.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ yea i guess they are all like that mine (#0005 FAZZ) is the same way I am not sure if it is supposed to be that way (slight color difference), i have had mine (2 of them) since it came and nothing else is yellowing, just the cannons have a slight brownish highlight around the edges, the detail is good so i do not think it is a bad paintjob, i think they are all like that. the only one I am having problem with is #0002 the Perfect gundam, mine is starting to change color it is getting a pinkish hue to it on certain parts of the body, only on parts that are white. does anyone have that problem? I have the whole set and it is the only one that is giving me any problems. Edited November 26, 2004 by zeo-mare
Anubis Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 (edited) Here's a couple Zeta Gundam Fix pics. With the big big big gun Edited December 6, 2004 by Anubis
lavinrac Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 (edited) What is this toy in the picture and where do you get it? I've obviously not been paying enough attention! It rules! Edited December 7, 2004 by lavinrac
zeo-mare Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 i am glad the Zeta comes with the Hyper Mega Launcher, i hope it comes with some sort of dual armor for it. hi lavinrac that pic i posted is just the normal Master Grade Zeta Gundam someone did a custom paintjob for it. very nice lookin huh

That wil work too right to make a blue deep striker? hehe I got him at hobby show japan for only 26 dollars!!!!

I'll see if I can find time over the weekend to play around with them. Oh, and all of my Sentinel GFF were taken out of storage last week and put back on display. I was getting bored with a purely Macross display cabinet. Graham
Black Valkyrie Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 I never asked this before but wondering if the FIX PVC plastic quality is the same as MSIA ?
zeo-mare Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 (edited) the PVC material for the fix and msia seem different to me. as for the combining of the blue EX-S and deepstriker, yes you can but the deepstriker still will have some red parts on the gun and the radar disc as well as a few other places but the deepstriker parts will fit on it. i however do not think the zeta will fit on it they are very different peices and mechs Edited December 23, 2004 by zeo-mare
Solscud007 Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 ok just a thought. Cant wait to make a blue deep striker.
Mechwolf Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 When I ordered my Deep Striker from HLJ, I also ordered the Teaskforce Alpha Fix from Valkrie-Exchange (Kevin had them for $30). The Alpha has a little looseness in some parts, so I attached the Deep Striker parts to my Alpha, & have my 303 in EXS form. & IT ROCKS! As soon as my wife gets her Xmas present from me, I might have to borrow it to post a few pix.
