Aegis!
Old news Damn , you beat me to it. Yeah , we already knew this a long time ago. For Macross Zero to get this award together with a super production like the Animatrix is a really relevant sign of how vanguardist Macross is in the animation industry. azrael
[so it actually won over a super production such as the Animatrix and even GUNDAM production Now that´s what I call pedigree Gundam Evolve was really more of a animation OAV. There was no story behind them. The series was more eye candy than anything else so I'm not surprised if it did beat out Gundam Evolve. JELEINEN
SUCK THAT KIKAIDER!macross 0 rules I agree agent. I duno bout you guys but that seems like a list of GOOD competing OVA's. So I fail to see how its dead. I said, "all but dead." The fact is that fewer and fewer OVAs are getting made every year. In the late eighties and early nineties, it wasn't uncommon for over a hundred OVA releases in a single year. The reasons why, at least from my understanding, is that with the crash of the Japanese bubble economy, people aren't spending as much on anime releases (and OVAs can be very expensive, usually being only 1 episode per disc and often costing $50.00 or $60.00 for just one disc or even $100 back in the LD days). Also, the existance of satelite stations dedicated to anime, like WOWOW, allow shows to be aired that in the past would have been released as OVAs. bandit29
I actually like Shin Hokuto no Ken (new Fist of the North Star) more than M Zero but oh well. Too bad there's only going to be 3 episodes. But they are close to an hour long. Did Yukikaze win for most f'ed up story lol(I've only seen 1 & 2)? For some reason the dub made me like the show more

Jasonc
Rahxephon was a good OVA. Gundam Seed I have yet to watch, but it looks great as well. For Mac 0 to do so well, they're definitely doing something right. I just wish it didn't take so damn long to come out between releases. UGH!!!
