areaseven Posted May 2, 2004 Author Posted May 2, 2004 What's funny about Dr. Pepper/7Up is that they don't distribute Dr. Pepper themselves. They get both Coca-Cola and Pepsi to bottle and distribute Dr. Pepper, depending on the area. Quote
JELEINEN Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 (edited) I don't see how advertising Dr. Pepper in the magazine or even a contest to make an ad will boost sales of the magazine. It might sell more pop though. Oh, and I believe DP does do its own bottling in Texas, which is why the stuff tastes different (and a lot better) down there. Edited May 2, 2004 by JELEINEN Quote
Akilae Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 drat, all this time I thought East Coast Dr. Pepper was already the best stuff on earth... gotta go and try out the *real* Dr. Pepper that the *real* men are drinking down there... Dr. Pepper seems to be doing stuff like this lately... I remember their Spider-Man cans back when the movie came out. and I thought EVA UCC coffee cans and AMG phone cards would never catch on in the states... You know, for some reason I can't imagine Coke or Pepsi doing this... Quote
areaseven Posted May 2, 2004 Author Posted May 2, 2004 You know, for some reason I can't imagine Coke or Pepsi doing this... In Hong Kong, Coke released limited edition Gundam pewter figurines. In Japan, Pepsi had Mobile Suit Gundam bottlecap figures. I'm sure they'll both do an anime cross-promotion here in the U.S. soon. Quote
