Vinny Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 The HK DVD set of it is great. All the extras you could ever want. The Gaogaigar concert owned my ass like I was a cheap whore. Quote
Neova Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Don't forget Max Factory's diecast Genesic GaoGaiGar figure released this month.http://www.maxfactory.jp/ggg_album_main.htm Sweet. If only I had $$$ for that, though... Its a grip but its huge and fully articulated! Beautiful toy though. PS: I have them for sale Quote
JB0 Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 Interesting this thread is popped back up. AiA put episode 34 of the series up recently. It's nice to see the big G back in action. Quote

Yep and a month later ep 35. Now nothing against them but they should consider merging with another group like Anime-classics (people doing Tobikage, God mars, and joint with AiA Panda-Z) or that super robot legends group. I dunno maybe their is bad blood or something but I think if all these kick ass super robot etc. groups got together miricles could happen. Quote
rikiryou Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 What? Tobikage? A-Classics released it? Hmm. Although I was told by Kyoji himself that the subs for God Mars are taken from the HK subs, fixed and checked. Either he did the same thing for Tobikage, or found someone to do the job. Last I heard he only has the raws in his hands, so... Quote
areaseven Posted March 29, 2005 Author Posted March 29, 2005 Yusha Web reports that TV Tokyo will broadcast Yuusha-Oh GaoGaiGar FINAL: Grand Glorious Gathering on April 11. Don't know if it's an entirely new anime or just a broadcast of the OAV series. Quote
Fort Max Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 (edited) I second that, I absolutley love this show and the Final OVA. The mecha designs are just fantastic. edit, Just looked at Gunnota headlines and they have some very interesting info. GGG Final -GGG- updateTV Tokyo's site pre-opens. Meanwhile, Moon Phase says that the broadcast will be 12 episodes with "some new narration and dialogue". ¶ 7:40 AM Final was only 8 episodes last time I watched it... areaseven Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 GaoGaiGar licensed? According to the ToonZone Forums, Media Blasters has picked up this series for domestic release. Quote
JB0 Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 ! !! !!! GAOGAIGAR! IN THE US! LEGALLY! HOORAY! Quote
JELEINEN Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Great news if true. I just hope it's relatively cheap. I'm dreading having to chuck out $20 every other month for just four episodes of a long series. Hopefully its age will keep it reasonable. Quote
JB0 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I will, for the record, be legally and morally obligated to shout "FUSION!" while inserting the disk into my DVD player. Just as a heads-up. Quote
Graham Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Bah, any anime that has a mecha with trains for shoulders, a lion's head on it's chest and is armed with a giant childrens squeaky hammer and a giant screwdriver should be banned for being too silly. At least it would be banned under the dictatorship of Graham. Graham Quote
areaseven Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 Anime on DVD has confirmed that Media Blasters will release vol. 1 of GaoGaiGar on August 29. Quote
Radd Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 So, I find myself wondering, does anyone know anything about Gao Gai Gar Project Z? According to Wikipedia it's an entirely new GGG series on the way, that combines the series even further with Betterman. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Isn't that GaoGaiGo? http://toyboxdx.com/set-bbs.html Quote

protostar8 Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 So, what ever happened to Project Z, aka GaoGaiGo? Quote
Fort Max Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 So, what ever happened to Project Z, aka GaoGaiGo? It was just a completely made up bonus disc included with the FINAL dvd release in Japan and I am utterly convinced that it was only made in order to give CM's corp a couple of exclusive toys. Namely the GaoGaiGo. Quote
areaseven Posted July 29, 2015 Author Posted July 29, 2015 Time to give your Blu-ray players a Final Fusion. GaoGaiGar will be remastered in two Blu-ray Disc boxed sets. Division 1 (36,000 yen) hits stores in Japan on November 25, while Division 2 (24,000 yen) arrives on Feburary 17, 2016. Quote
areaseven Posted August 10, 2016 Author Posted August 10, 2016 GaoGaiGar FINAL Blu-ray boxed set will be available on December 21, featuring all eight OVA episodes and all 12 episodes of the Grand Glorious Gathering TV re-edit. Quote

renegadeleader1 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Since this thread got resurrected I think now would be a good time to share this hilarious review video from stop motion artist DD Puppeteer of the CrossFrame GaoGaiGirl from Kotobukiya.   Quote
JB0 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Okay, why has no one told me there's a GaoGaiGirl toy before now? That is amazing and I must have it. Â That video is hilarious. I love the gumball machine skit at the beginning. Quote
Scyla Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Has anyone found the preorder for Sentinels Genesic Gaogaigar on HLJ? I really want to preorder it but it should be a place where I can cancel without a fuss if necessary. With the whole Rona situation going on it is uncertain  if I can spend 50k JPY on toys in December. I‘m also a tad disappointed that it doesn’t transform. It would be a great companion piece for the SoC Gaogaigar. That reminds me. Has Sentinel announced if the wants to release more Gaogaigar toys in this style/line? Quote

I’m not a big fan of non transforming transforming toys. Quote
eXis10z Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 I po-ed it at a local retailer after taking into considerations shipping and import taxes. I actually prefer it to be non-transformable, afterall this is how I'll display it. I remember reading some comments and reviews of some of Gravion's joints being flimsy due to being transformable.
