Drad Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 (edited) Maybe I'm going to see a lot of repeats, but I'm just curious. There seem to be a lot of customs flying around in here lately, and I'm wondering what kinds of custom work you want to do on your Macross/anime toys. What do you want to customize for yourself? Fatalist Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I've been considering a VF-1J in the med. viz VX-9 Vampires scheme. Found here in this gallery from their site. http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~VX9/ Quote
scand Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 For kicks I was thinking about painting a VF Yellow and putting Type R decals on it. Quote
buddhafabio Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 (edited) if i see a good deal on a 1/60 valk i will do a mid-ww2 navy fighter scheme like what is seen here http://www.angelfire.com/fm/compass/F6F.htm Edited May 1, 2004 by buddhafabio Quote
calvin Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I think a night fighter scheme(flat black bottom w/low viz bi-tone top) or I would like to see a "what if" in a rusty low viz color with wear&tear or even a space green(slate, flat with re-entery wear&tear)and finally a ww2 german camo of dark yellow(kinda dark tan)dark green and red brown or a winter white low viz with with the white wearing of to show a base color Quote
Godzilla Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 How about the camoflage VF-1? I think I saw that in the Revell model. I think that would be cool. Quote
Angel's Fury Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 If I were to do a custom, I would do this. 51 CW Phantoms Quote
GobotFool Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 How bout a sopwith camel scheme with a custom snoopy pilot! Quote
Isamu Atreides 86 Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 I've always wanted to do a Union Valk, kinda borrowing aspects of an American Civil War Union Cavalry soldiers uniform, Blue body, with gold trim, white hands and Black Legs, and Rank Designation on his upper arms/shoulders..... ...yeah, it sounds kinda dumb, but i love those old uniforms, and think it would be awesome. too bad i have no Skillz.... Quote
RichterX Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 I would like to do one like this one... More of those are here: http://www.macrossmilcomnet.net/squadrons.htm Quote
GobotFool Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 I think a scheme based off of the flying tigers would be kick ass. Quote
Smiley424 Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 I have been thinking about getting a tiger stripe type job done, like the F-4 ace scheme or the F-15E ace scheme in Ace Combat 4. Quote
Isamu Atreides 86 Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Union Valk? What about a Confederate Valk too? A Dixie valk would rock....but it might look too much like a low vis, with so much Grey... Quote
scand Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Union Valk? What about a Confederate Valk too? A Dixie valk would rock....but it might look too much like a low vis, with so much Grey... It can be painted in a high viz orange with the rebel flag across the top of it. It's number would be 01. Quote
redsilk Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Wuold be a real delight to see a 3 tone camo scheme as the VF is also optimized in ground operations in Gerwalk mode Quote
Metal_Massacre_79 Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Union Valk? What about a Confederate Valk too? A Dixie valk would rock....but it might look too much like a low vis, with so much Grey... It can be painted in a high viz orange with the rebel flag across the top of it. It's number would be 01. That wouldn't work because there woudln't be any way to slide into the cockpit without opening the canopy. Quote
