bsu legato Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I didn't know Red Comet was into Warhammer... Quote
wolfx Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Those look like marines.....not sisters of battle. Otaku marines! Quote
Akilae Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Okay... now that's gotta be a Japanese Warhammer player's army... tell me it is so... cause I can't think of any Warhammer players I know doing anything as "unmanly" as that... Quote
Lynx7725 Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 IIRC, this is the work of a female (and non-Japanese) gamer. It's technically well executed, just a bit strange in terms of the subject matter, but in W40K it's about par for course. Quote
Red Comet Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I didn't know Red Comet was into Warhammer... Oh my gosh....so kawai.... *Giggles* Quote
Blaine23 Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Doesn't Hello Kitty deserve a chance to kick some ass? Quote
Knight26 Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Nobody bend over in front of these troops, especially in the shower. Quote
Isamu Atreides 86 Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 If i was an Ork, i know what Marines i'd go after first. these guys need to watch out for the inquisition, or they might have their souls devoured by the Emperor or declared heretics!!! Quote
F-ZeroOne Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 A few decades ago, back when Warhammer 40,000 was still subtitled "Rogue Trader", GW did actually release some female space marine figures. Presumably they've since realised who their target market is... Quote
Stampeed Valkyrie Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I can only imagine what these would look like if Chaos got ahold of any of them . Rob Quote
JsARCLIGHT Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 You're out of uniform, airman. No sir, this is cretin camoflague... when you absolutely need to blend in with a bunch of drunken Greeks there is nothing better. Quote
Californium Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Great for psychological warfare. Really scary. I'd run in the other direction. Much scarier than pansies in camo. 10 year old goth chicks wear camo. Only people who want to tie you to your dead friend using your intestines wear Hello kitty. Quote
GreatMoose Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Wow, i didn't know you could have Slaaneshi SoBs. Where's the Grey Knights when you need 'em?! Quote
Father Jack Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Sweet Jesus on a stick thats Great! Now we just need some hamtaro themed Tyranids. Quote

I remember those, the Adepta Sororitas figures, they only made two or three, I bought them (and yes I painted their armour pink) They didn't abandon the idea though, it simply evolved into the Sisters of Battle. But Warhammer 40K and Hello Kitty, what an inspired combination, I wish I had thought of it first. Quote
GreenGuy42 Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 ..and proving yet again that Hello Kitty is a force of darkness, I present you with... http://www.hello-cthulhu.com/ Quote

Sorry, I got out of gaming a long time ago, and WH40K a while before that! Theres probably some Blood Angels recruiting officer holding his head his hands and wailing "Where did I go wrong?! I told them we shouldn't let them mix the red paint, but would they listen...?!" Quote
wolfx Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 (edited) A few decades ago, back when Warhammer 40,000 was still subtitled "Rogue Trader", GW did actually release some female space marine figures.Presumably they've since realised who their target market is... I remember those, the Adepta Sororitas figures, they only made two or three, I bought them (and yes I painted their armour pink) They didn't abandon the idea though, it simply evolved into the Sisters of Battle. I told them we shouldn't let them mix the red paint, but would they listen...?!" I've been out for long as well...but randomly when I feel like it update myself and found out about the new races like the Tau and Dark Eldar and Necrons. Heh. The Adepta Sororitas or sisters of battle are dedicated nuns of the imperial church. (forgot the name) They are the military hand of the church, and they defend their priests and go for witch hunts and planetary purging missions. They wear power armour but they are not genetically modified like their brother marines. But, like the Hello Kitty on top of the Whirlwind, it would be pretty insulting to the enemy if you wore a Hello Kitty suit, running around pwning everyone. Edited April 29, 2004 by wolfx Quote
uminoken Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 is....is....is that a glittery pink Hello Kitty tank!?!?!? Quote
Isamu Atreides 86 Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 is....is....is that a glittery pink Hello Kitty tank!?!?!? yes, but it serves the will of the undying emperor... Quote
gnollman Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Seen armies like this before, but never SoB before. The Pink Panther Space Marine chapter was always a lot of fun, though. Quote
Warmaker Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 It's not about how successful you are or how many enemies of the Emperor you destroy... it's all about how good you look while doing it! I guess... Quote
Lynx7725 Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 And they look very good at it too. The Adepta Sororitas miniatures are commonly acknowledged as some of GW's best works, by Mike McVey. The new additions to this range is obviously of a different calibur.. sadly. Quote
wolfx Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 How about grey knights in hello kitty gear? Scare them demons good. Then again, Hello Kitty should be the 5th Chaos God. Hehe. Quote

Lynx7725 Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 No, it's not the 5th Chaos God.. that place is taken. it should be the 6th though. Quote
Impreszive Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 I wonder how long they will last against the cheesyness that is the Chaos Army. Ahh Chaos. My reason for totally quitting anything by GW. "Here! I have Kharn the Betrayer! I can destroy one half of your army in ONE turn!" exactly 10 seconds later...... "Here! I have stepped on your pissant figure and destroyed HIM in one turn! Wanker." So did I mention I hate 40k? Quote

Noone can convince me that that army is any less craptacular than it was in 2nd Ed. The characters may have been dumbed down, but they made up for it in other departments. The other thing I have noticed is how expensive other armies have become as opposed to Chaos. One freaking Grey Knight is $10! Ahh 40k. Play Chaos or you don't have a chance. (although the Necrons are getting up there fast.....) Quote
wolfx Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Well, chaos is full of cheese. But tha doesn't make them all that bad ass. Love them eldar. Quote
Blaine23 Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Heh... the funniest thing is that I look out of my window here at the office and see the new Games Workshop distribution center across the street. Now I imagine Hello Kitty pulling in their driveway in a pink tank every morning. Quote
Impreszive Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 It should use its Melta Gun on that place. It'd be an improvement. Quote
