Jolly Rogers Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 I'd be all over it if it were an Asuka or Misato LE G Shock instead. Quote
wolfx Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 300 USD....as much as I like EVA and Rei, i'll get 2 1/48s instead. Quote
UN Spacy Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 How much do normal G-Shocks go for? $100 at the most? ...and for $300 you'd think they'd include a little more than a slight color change and embeveled crest on the back. Does it play Cruel Angel Thesis? Does Rei's voice tell you the time? No? Fogedaboutit. Quote
Anubis Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 I love Eva, but there's no way in hell I would pay that much for a watch, let alone wear it. Looks nice though. I have far better uses for my 300 bucks. Quote
cube Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 i was gonna get "dork" tattooed on my forehead...i think i'll get this instead *ducks and runs for cover* Quote
Jolly Rogers Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 I know at least 1 person on MW will get this watch... mcj32th_img529x481_1064763941p9 Quote
Druna Skass Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 It would catch my attention more if it had the Path of Sephirot on the face and the NERV emblem on the back. Quote
Kamui 777 Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 I was gonna post this earlier, but what makes a G-Shock watch so special? I would get a Movado or a nice Guess watch for that price. Quote
Gaijin Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Yes, $300 is too much for a G Shock...when I first heard about it, I thought it's be in the $150 range maybe....not $300. It is a nice piece, just not worth the $300. And I still may buy one since I have a thing for watches. Quote
JRock Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 (edited) No thanks. I got a phone to buy. Motorola V300.... Edited April 27, 2004 by JRock Quote
MrDisco Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 its a cool gimmick but i think we all agree not worth the price, particularly when a regular g-shock goes for much less. Quote
dreambrother Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 (edited) I was gonna post this earlier, but what makes a G-Shock watch so special? I would get a Movado or a nice Guess watch for that price. What makes them so special is that G-Shocks will last longer than anyone. Most certainly longer than a Movado or Rolex (pretty much any watch). They may not look as nice (personal opinion), but they'll last forever. But I have to say (and not just this Eva G-Shock), G-Shocks are pretty pricey sometimes. Overpriced as well.
