Mechamaniac Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 (edited) If he has that kind of talent, can he make us an Yamato representatives read here affordable Valk pilot's helmet? Edited September 3, 2003 by Mechamaniac Quote
Skull 001 Posted September 3, 2003 Author Posted September 3, 2003 I am actually going to start working on Armor and helmets for pilots in 1/6 scale. I will also either make flight suits or make patterns for them. If I can't make them acceptably I will have him do them also. Quote
hirohawa Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 I would be interested as long as it wasn't outragously priced. Please let me know how this progresses. Quote
Knight26 Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 I would definitely be interested as long as it doesn't cost too much for 1:6 Focker in flight gear, put him right next to my 1:6 Wedge. Quote

One last thing if you know where I can find a lot of refernce photos so I can give him as much info as possible so he can work his magic. Hey put me in!!! I would want a headsculpt of Fokker!!! And how much will he charge you? Can we fit the head on Dragon bodies (they are iMHO more articulate) His work is great...if you can sculpt a nice 1/6 helmet, and do a nice custom uniform, I would go for it too! Next, does this guy would be willing to make a sculp of myself in 1/6? I am serious!!!! Paulo Quote
Lightning Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 1/6 Millia would sell better. i humbly agree with that statement! Quote
David Hingtgen Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 If a Millia (or Emilia etc) becomes available, I vote for BBi compatability. Quote
Vostok 7 Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 If a Millia (or Emilia etc) becomes available, I vote for BBi compatability. AGREED. But I think that was a givein. Vostok 7 Quote
Skull 001 Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 I want to do all the pilots I just started with Roy. The Millia will be hard because of the long hair. For Millia it might be better to find a current figure and color the hair. If the hair is molded the head ownt move around good and trying to root your own hair is a real pain in the arse. Quote
xstoys Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Remember, if you are doing a true 1/6 scale Roy, he is substantially taller than every other human in the Macross universe. So you should use a body even taller than a standard 12" figure. I would love to see his 1/6 sculpt with pilot flight suit & helmet. I have considered the task many times, but until you try designing an "accurate" 1/6 pattern it's hard to understand the nightmare you have gotten yourself into. Also consider the material you will be using for the outfit, it needs to be the right color & weight; otherwise it will stick out like a sore thumb & be bulky & ugly. Good luck in your endeavor & I can't wait to see pics. B) Quote
Skull 001 Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 Yah I will most likely use a Sideshow toys body as they are much taller than the standard Joe body and use the Joe bodies for Max and Hikaru. Millia I would like to use the Cy Girls perfect body. Quote
Skull 001 Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 Oh yah and as for how they would sell. I really wasn't looking to sell them I am just having one made for me and and am offering if anyone else may want one I am sure Tony could whip up a few more. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Hey, just do M7 Milia. She's just as hot (if not hotter) but has much shorter hair. Quote
jwinges Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 I'd be interested if the price was right. Quote
rnurmin Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 I'd be interested if the price was right. me too B) Quote
kidkorrupt Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 his sculpts are good but it seems as though something of this quality would be higher priced. also, he is just recasting the heads, not painting them right? Quote
Wumzi Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 me too, for the right price do you have a ballpark figure of some sort? Quote
Yohsho Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 Interested, but I'll go in and repeat what the others said about wanting to know a rough estimate of a price. Would like to have a Millia, could go along with the Minmay Graham was asking about. See if you can ask him about making a helmet. Quote
