calvin Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 (edited) please vote, thanks *edit if you already have one ...telll us a little about it.........."hi my name is bob and I have a max vf-1j and it's........" Edited April 18, 2004 by calvin Quote
VF-1Guy Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 I had decided that I didn't really need the Max before it came out, but the "I'm waiting on a 1/48 CF" choice spoke to me. It's refreshing that polls are now speaking to me. It helps to drown out all those pesky voices in my head. Quote
Eternal_D Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 bought, no regrets...really nice color. my 1/60 has gone in the box since i heard they were making these for sure. Quote
mechatek Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 For me it's a must buy, gotta love them matching FPs. Sadly my 1/55 Max re-issue will have to go back in its box, even though I got extra FPs for it. Oh well, out with the old, in with the new. Quote
柿崎速雄 Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 just my opinion: if someone have skill to customize 1/48 VF-1, I recommand buy a HIKARU 1J and change it to max / miria veriation. the qaulity of this max 1J not very good... altough I get this max 1J, I decide to re-paint it.... but I just think if base on a Hikaru 1J to do this is much more easy. do not disturb Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 i'm breaking down and buying one cause i'm a retard. the valk paint scheme is ugly and there seems to be more than the average QC issues with this particular valk. if for whatever reason its a total piece of crap, you'll see it listed on ebay. i really want a brownie but if yamato is going to let crap get worse, whats the point? i might as well purchase a bunch of cheap VF-1A maxs and paint them up. hopefully i'll get a nice one otherwise, by yamato purchases will drop....atleast for the VFs. calvin Posted April 18, 2004 Author Posted April 18, 2004 (edited) I'm glad to see some of you took the time to vote, thankyou! I was doing this poll to see just what the impact of this toy is on all of us? it's a repaint as with most of them, So I just wanted to see what people were doing?.............and for the people who hated this poll, thankyou for keeping me amused and voting anyway if I was to ask this poll agaian it would be something like this: will you buy this max 1/48? •are you angry? •atleast one! •two or more! •I'm a crack head(help me!!) •hell no! •waiting for a CF......c'mon damit I'm waiting! •I wont take part in your little plan! •my mother said no! •I hate polls!!!! •I see dead people! •Voices in my head said yes, the ghosts in my closet said no and my invisible friend said wait for the reviews! crazypakan Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 (edited) I'd like one, but I don't have a fat sack of money lying around. Plus then I'd have to buy the Millia as well. Oh well, I'm satisfied with 2 of each in 1/60. Close enough. Edited April 18, 2004 by crazypakan Quote
Powered Convoy Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 I got just the VF-1S Roy so far, but I'm getting this VF-1J, the Millia type, and hopefully the Hikaru type too. It's too bad that people say there are quite a few quality control issues with this figure. I hope mine is satisfactory at the least. Randy Quote

It good for do a re-paint works on it, not like the max 1j, many place have painting on it, no good for re-paint. Quote
Graham Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Bought one when they first came out, but only one. I'm not a big fan of TV colors, so I won't buy multiples. It's a nice toy. No flaws on mine I'm happy with it. I keep it mostly displayed in fighter mode without FPs. When Miria's is released I'll display her in battroid, without FPs. Graham Quote
Sebastian Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 I got only one, too damn expensive for a low grade manager as myself. It is on the post office waiting for me. I guess I wont be able to pick it up till tomorrow. Quote

He's actually like one of those James Bond villians who desires to rule the world, complete with a huge secret base on a deserted tropical island. Graham Quote

Radd Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 I really, really want the 1/48th Max and Millia 1Js, but financialy difficulties are keeping my debit card at bay. I'll get them if I'm able to before they're all gone, or have risen to prices I'm unwilling to pay. Quote

SupremeKaioshin Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 I just bought Takara's 20th MP Convoy and I still need to get the rest of the Binaltechs. Still, it's been almost a year since I bought a 1/48 and I'm getting this one. If I can only get my ass to do an extra shift here and there....so tired Quote
VF-18S Hornet Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 I got mine last week. Now I'm putting in payments in my paypal account to get the Millia next. Quote
Fort Max Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Sorry guys but It's newbie question time, What this CF version that seems so popular? I'm not buying the Max, I wnat the Millia version simply because it's red Fort Max Quote
Blaine23 Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 CF stands for Canon Fodder, which is a nickname for the Brown Production VF-1A that all of the "regular" pilots in Macross fly... basically anybody that's not Hikaru, Max, Miria, or Roy. Yamato made 2 different versions of the CF in 1/60, a TRU limited edition and a regular release. It's only a matter of time before we see one in 1/48, as it is just a repaint of the already made VF-1A's. Yamato's CF in 1/60 Quote

Quinn Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 This is my second favorite valk after Hikaru's 1J. But the three valks I have take up enough space on my shelf and I'm just running out of living room so I'll have to pass. It's hard when there's so many things to choose from. Quote
