Lightning Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 well, at least we know that shin's next valk wont be blue and it's not a -D model...did that mean he "graduated" since he downed a -51? lol Quote
Graham Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 well, at least we know that shin's next valk wont be blue and it's not a -D model...did that mean he "graduated" since he downed a -51? lol There's no firm evidence yet that Shin will actually get this VF-0B in episode # 4 or 5, although I suspect he will. And wouldn't it sort of be a demotion (for getting shot down)? I mean, the VF-0D is a more capable design (greater range, payload etc), so getting a VF-0B as his next VF could be seen as a step backwards. Just because this VF-0B was featured in early advertising for Macross Zero back in 2002 doesn't actually mean it will appear in the OVA. Hasegawa might just be making it as a variation kit, because it is easy for them to do so. It's basically just a VF-0S body and wings with the nose and cockpit section of a VF-0D and the head of either an A or D (I forget which one). I presume Hasegawa probably already has the tooling finished or nearly finished for the VF-0A/B/D. Graham Quote
Stamen0083 Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 With the old kits there were two separate and distinct kits. A Super Valk kit and a separate Strike Valk kit. Not quite. Like I mentioned above, the Strike Valk kit comes with both the micromissile launcher parts. It has an extra sprue for the Strike cannon, but you can still build the Super version. Can anyone else support or refute this? I remember pretty distinctly... Although I can take a picture of the trees tonight, after I get home, to make sure. Quote

Strike Valk kit comes with 2 micromissile launchers and 1 Strike cannon. However, there is not such thing as Strike Valk with 1S head and the decal is different. Quote

I thought they were separate kits. Oh well, I'll shut up them. Graham Quote
imode Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 In the Hasegawa ad, they also pimp a brand new box design. Which is cool... ...if you're into that kind of thing. Quote
Jinnai Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 The Strike does indeed come with the 2nd Micro Missile pod, as well as the Strike Cannon. But the Strike only has a 1S head. As well, the decal sheet for the Fighter 1S Strike has Max, Hikaru and Roy markings. The previously released Super kit has the two Micro Missile pods, markings for Hikaru, Max and Kakizaki, as well as a 1A and 1J head. So for an extra 800 yen, I'm expecting all 3 heads, with a big enough decal sheet to cover Max, Hikaru, Roy AND Kakizaki. No Kakizaki = sadness. Quote
