GodMedia Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 I half expected to see someone burning bibles or something (and I got my smores kit out for nothing...). Is that supposed to be funny? Is it just someone having a good time? It is offensive to those who know what it is like to be persecuted for their faith. Millions of Jews, Christians, and Muslims have died and are dying even now all around the world when people who laugh at their faith are allowed to openly mock and attack their beliefs. Look at South Africa and the Middle East today. Look at Germany and it's Axis in the Second World War. Look at the just recently fallen Soviet Union. This isn't funny or just having fun to some people, and yet anyone here can say whatever they want as a joke about people's faith, but if those people say anything in defense of their beliefs they are suddenly stupid and ignorant and close-minded. All religion must be banned on these boards, period, even my board nickname which I will change once this issue is resolved.
Anubis Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 We don't need another thread on this. AGAIN. All relavent points were made the first two times. If a thread gets too religion-ish, the mods will handle it.
the white drew carey Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 For the love of Pete, CHILL! Things like this only become an issue because you're trying your damned hardest to make them one. Get over the persecution complex. If there is a problem with the religious overtones of such a statement (and you ARE making a mountain out of a molehill), you should simply bring the offending post to the Mod's attention and let them make judgment. Instead you use every chance you get to make make a statement as well. And it is getting tiresome.
bsu legato Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Remember when they had that "Smores" cereal? That was cool.
bandit29 Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Give it a rest.... and smores and beer don't mix
EXO Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 A priest, a rabbi and Kawamori was on a boat fishing. Another boat came by and asked if they wanted lemonade. Kawamori gets out of the boat and walks across the water and walks ssafely into the second boat. He drinks the lemonade and raises a cup to the other guys. The rabbi gets up and runs to the other boat and quickly sinks and drown. The priests gets up, does the sign of the cross and walks out of the boat. He too sinks and drowns. The woman with the lemonade looks at Kawamori and proclaims " You truly are the Froating Head..." Kawamori smiles at her and tells her, "I just know where the rocks are..."
Blaine23 Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 This is dumber than the last thread. The race is really neck and neck now. I'm guessing it'll be a photo finish.

Agent ONE Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Nuke a gay whale for Jesus. GM nothing here is really all that serious... So don't take us seriously. Most of us when religion is refered crack some stupid joke... so what?
Agent ONE Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Why do you care by the way? I mean no one has attacked you personally. So they make fun of those who have faith, big deal... Being a person who HAS God in your life aren't you secure enough to know that your soul will be saved while others will be judged for their sins? Where in the Bible does it say that followers of the word of God need to throw religion in the face of those who doubt or don't believe (you don't do this) and following that line of logic where in the Bible does it say faith in general must be defended?
