Would love to own a 1/48 scale valk, but the nose cone and chest are way too out of proportion.

At least he 1/60's seem to be a little better...

yay! this again!

let's sum it all up:

*1/48's are the bestest ever!

*no MPC are best in gerwalk

*<everyone else points and laughs>

*Yamato sucks! 1/48's are too expensive!

*Oh yeah? well, bandais are fugly and have a SWING BAR!

*Yeah... well, 1/48's have small floppy hands!

*1/48's have built in heat shields and knee guards!

*but the 1/48 are soooo fragile! unlike my sherman tank chunky monkey!

*No way, my 1/48 is super strong!

*Yamato is evil and are ripping us off! how come they keep making new toys???

*Shut yer pie hole, 7 years ago NO ONE was making new valks so yamato can do

no wrong!

*How come no one loves 1/60's???

*your mom is a 1/60, oooh, burn.

*how come the MPc convoy is cheaper, huh???

*does anyone know when the yf-19 fp is coming out?

there. all done.

I must say , not 1/48 out of proportion,

just the official design line art of the battroid mode out of proportion~

EDIT : same happen on the VF-0 first design line art ,

but have been solve by COMPUTER 3D modeling :)

1/60s new name is needle dick. Floppy leg needle dick vs tough as balls perfect variable. Which sounds better? you decide.

 You forgot 1/55 Big Boned Sally.

Why do people ALWAYS feel the need to be negative about EVERYTHING? There are diff scales so all you have to do is pick the one you like. I cant stand all these niknames for the various toys....MPC(master piece of crap) , needle dick, chuncky monkey, its all very annouing that every time a new product comes out it is now trashed by the same people who loved and praised it before. I think most people here are adults( kids cant afford $100+ for toys) and are able to understand" dont like it, dont buy it". Just because the 1/48ths are out, everything else is crap?

Awesome.... but you left out the obligatory

"why can't I buy Macross toys in the US?"

"Cause HG is evil"

"Nuh-uh - without HG Americans would never have seen Macross!"

"Yeah-huh, I would too have"

"No!"

"Die! Die! Die!"

<mod shows up>

MOD: "Are you guys arguing this crap again? I'll ban you all to lesser boards!"

EVERYBODY: "uh, nope, nothing to see here... Just discussing scale."

<mod leaves>

"Your mamma works for HG!"

"Your mamma is Carl Macek - diss, burn!"

Um....

Just relax, OK?

I don't think anybody coming up with these names is doing so out of any desire to belittle anything, or to be negative it's all in fun and as such, really needn't be taken this seriously.

These are just toys after all, if someone calling a toy you like a bad name gets to you, I think maybe gaining a bit of perspective on things is in order.

Heck, I own one of each (mostly... I sold my MPC last weekend... but I did have an MPC, as well as an old Bandai Skull-One, a 1/60 Skull-One and a 1/48 Hikaru 1J) and I've somehow managed to avoid being offended by this.

Facts, which cannot be disputed:

1.) The 1/48 Yamato VF-1 valkyrie is the "least" out of proportion transformable "toy" valkyrie ever released.

2.) The 1/72 Hasegawa VF-1 is the "least" out of proportion plastic "model" valkyrie ever released.

3.) The 1/48 Club M VF-1 Ultimate Strike is the "least" out of proportion resin "model" ever released.

4.) The 1/72 Orange Collection, Yellow Submarine/Club M VF-1/Ve-1/VT-1 are the "least" out of proportion resin "model" kits ever released.

Of course, 2-4 did not have to worry about transforming, and some of the categories did not have any competition, but the fact remains.

Don't forget:

* Yamato will go out of business because they are making 1/48s too much!

* Yamato will go out of business because they are not making the color variation I want!

* Yamato will go out of business unless they keep making the 1/60 scale!

* Yamato is evil for not offering seperate heads. Now I actually have to buy more of their products! The bastards!

And, my own personal favorite that I will never stop enjoying:

* Those of you who want more 1/48-scale valks are unscrupulous because others can't afford them.

They sort of are...

But that's what happens when you try to turn anime magic into real life. Considering the circumstances, the 1/48 is the nicest thing out there. If you want out of proportion look at a bandai...

1/48 detractor: "How do you sleep at night?"

1/48 owner: "On a gigantic pile of money, surrounded by many beautiful Valkyries."

I am now starting the Valk-Exchange program. For everyone unhappy with their 1:48 Valkyries, if you send it to me I will gladly exchange it for one 1:60, 1:55 or even a 1:72 Hasegawa of your choice*. Shipping is on me. ;)

Legal Mumbo Jumbo: Not affiliated with the Valkyrie Exchange in any way, but I met Kevin a couple of times before and he seems like a nice guy. Only knuckleheads would take this offer seriously. *You get to choose if you want a 1:60, a 1:55 or a 1:72 valk, but I get to choose the type if you're dorky enough to agree to it. Let's face it. The 1:48 rules, and anyone that says otherwise is blind.

......

Why are some people get so flustered when a topic that has been discussed before? Is it such a crime? Not everyone checks the forums every hour. Do I have to do an extensive search on past literature before I post? People are just talking casually - not doing their thesis.

There seem to be a group of people who get a kick out of pointing out when a topic has already been discussed (often providing a link). Like library archivists. I don't mind that, but they are often very disrespectful, saying things like "Not this again..."

I bet even a post just like mine has been posted before.

If each topic was posted only once forever, there would be very little room to discuss anything. Same for real life.

Also, even if a topic has been posted before, different people will reply the second time. Providing a different perspective on things.

Apologies for the ranting.

I thought the 1/48 was the most IN proportion toy.
