Macross_Fanboy Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 Wow, that's pretty neat. Now, I wonder when one of the insane collectors with customizing skills will actually make a custom like that! Maybe Roy's battered VF-1S from the TV series to start with....hmm.... Quote

rocco_77 Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 Nice work on the smoke! I'm a Photoshop veteran, and that is some pretty good work.... Did you use just the airbrush, and perhaps the blurring tool? Or some other combination? Quote
calvin Posted April 8, 2004 Author Posted April 8, 2004 thanks guys for the comments! I have been a photshop user since version one, smoke is indeed done using the opacity and blur tool w/ a build up process then I apply the doge and burn tool with a over all burn of the image the damage is applyed using my nifty design skills!! the main reason I do these is to practice for my reality based job I'm a Animator/Designer specializing in intros and fx for video games and pilots of projects. Anyway I'll post more soon. Quote

ZorClone Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 layers layers layers! I really like that smoke effect, I'm gonna have try to put that to use. That's one of the only things I've been unable to do effectively when photoshopping damage and whatnot.. good stuff man. Quote
