i heard that hobby fan does recasts?

how reputable are they? reliable? good quality?

i think that i've heard both good things and bad.

and why do they have a couple Tanmen kits? are they real? or just bootlegs?

I've ordered from them before with no problems. I ordered some of the alpha-beta resins, and all the alphas came with thin/broken wings. took pictures, and sent them an email, and they mailed out new casts asap no problems, no cost.

I buy a lot from them. They are very good businessmen. They don't actually do the recasting. They are a distributor.

And they sell my Lancer II kit.

Hobbyfan is a very good business to deal with. But as others have indicated, the quality of their recasts will vary. I've gotten good and below average recasts from them.

The tanmen stuff are most likely recasts. I purchased a VT-1 and it is excellent. Smooth casting and no bubbles.

Most of their stuff are recasts. Usually, they would mention it if the kit is an original. I know e2046.com mentions it. You would know as well based on the price.
