Culverin Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 hey all, first post and i'm already buggin you guys but my question is where can i find the Musasiya 1/72 VF2-SS resin kit featured here http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models...sasiya_main.htm i've wanted that model for quite a long time. i know of the cheaper alternative bandai 1/100 kit, but i got that around christmas time. here's what a skilled painter did with it. http://culverin.creationsnet.com/html/mech...f2ss/vf2ss.html thanks guys. i hope it's not going to cost me an arm and a leg Quote
Myersjessee Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 They show up on Yahoo Japan rarely and Ebay even more rarely....the last one I saw on Yahoo went for like $130-$150. (I think) I have seen them as low as $90 and as much as $200 (on Ebay) E2046 had a kit too, but I believe it is out of stock. Quote

Of course it will cost you an arm and a leg, it's resin, goes with the territory . Most I've paid for a resin kit was $400, it was a big model though. Quote
Culverin Posted April 1, 2004 Author Posted April 1, 2004 oh oh oh! good good. i want to ask the guy's official permission to use the pics well, at least they're still being sold. i know somebody in japan so i'll have him keep an eye out for me... isn't Yahoo Japan just yahoo? in japanese? kinda like yahoo.ca is in candian-ish for us canadians? why would they sell a model kit? Quote
Grayson72 Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 They mean Yahoo Japan auctions. Ebay is the big online auctioneer in the US, it's yahoo auctions in Japan. Quote
Culverin Posted April 2, 2004 Author Posted April 2, 2004 so how do you guys find it. i'm pretty sure you can't all read japanese... engrish.com or babelfish? Quote
Myersjessee Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 Yep....Ill watch for one for you and post it in the auctions section under the Yahoo Japan section. Quote
Culverin Posted April 3, 2004 Author Posted April 3, 2004 so i should just keep checking the auctions forum? question: how exactly does that forum work? do we have people in japan who can help hook us up? i know a guy who wouldn't mind sending stuff over... btw, do you want me to send him hunting for stuff? and why do i feel like i'm going to regret i offered? Quote
Myersjessee Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 not sure about sending stuff over...check out Celga.com as a starting point...they, and other companies offer bidding services...since many of the auctions on Yahoo Japan do not offer sales overseas you will need to work through an intermediary. I, and others, watch whats up, and post interesting items in the auction thread...if you keep an eye on that Ill try and remember to post a VF2SS if I see it (there was one just weeks ago...final price just under 90 ) Once you see my note you can go to town.
