Clarkent
the shop at TAI PO N.T. HONG KONG,no online store service. but I think the total price have not much different after add the shipping fee form HK to US..... for VEX , the shipping fee for a super 1J from US to HK is $41 usd total $122+$41=$ 163, i think it's just the same if the helper charge 10 % for handling fee. and one more thing, if you find someone at hongkong for help, and pay by paypal, the helper must count a little bit more, because the paypal system charge handling fee for the service, and the exchange rate from USD -> HKD is lower than than standard, around 1USD to 7.5 HKD so, maybe get a higher price finally.... this just good incase you have a friend having a HK touring Thanks for the info but guess it wont help since they are ot selling online. Anyway Im from Singapore so with shipping and all. It would add up to US$145 which is like 250sg As someone else pointed out. Super Valks are selling in the lion city for about $285 so I think there is some saving. ps* You should advice the shop to go E-commerce!" I think you can use the money to buy a ticket and fly to HONGKONG, buy all macross toys you want at one travelling , can save many many money if you buy full set 1/48 VF-1~

Clarkent
Thats a good idea. Im making plans to go to Hongkong in May. Im thinking tt if thats the case. I can actually get both the M & M at the same time. and hopefully the 1/60 GBP may be out! I guess its unlikely that the MAx 1J will be out of stock within 2 months right? The VF-1S Hikaru was sold out pretty fast in Singapore. Im nto sure if that will be the case for MAx in Hong Kong or Singapore.

柿崎速雄
some brief discription: basic made with two color plastic, white and blue. most of the parts made with blue plastic and paint white on, except the little leg that made with white and paint the blue on. there have few point that I not like very much: 1. the head laser gun haven't any painting. so whole in blue color , feel odd with it. 2. the cockpit cover in battroid mode still make with clear parts and come with a ugly, blur panel line on it..... 3. I really don't like the color of the blue plastic, I must do a re-paint works on it. 4. the max pilot color too "milky" EDIT: 5. yes, I forgot to say is, the antenna and the back-pack holding clip are in white... very odd~ but I still happy to own this~ P.S. I don't take the shot with FP set , because everyone see the product shot of the product introduction before, so I save it. wolfx
Is it me or is that a new pilot sculpt? The hands are clutching the flightstick and throttle....or was this already done in Hikaru VF-1J? Otherwise.....it looks cool. Kakizaki: I agree with you about the blue....don't really like it. It looks too light.
Erik
Thank you for the SNEAK PEAK! I enjoyed the pictures sir. I am very pleased with the product. Your comments are greatly appreciated and well done. I think the final version turned out to be very fitting in this first class line of valkyrie VF-1 toys. I am completely impressed, I look forward to getting my pre-order from "The Valkyrie-Exchange"! I was just wondering if you happen to own the 1/60 Max. How does the 1/48 compareto the 1/60 in terms of paint work, plastic etc. And I believe that the antenna for the 1/60 is not all blue like what you have pointed out for the 1/48 rite? Maybe you can post a pic of them side by side thansk!

UN Spacy
Is it me or is that a new pilot sculpt? The hands are clutching the flightstick and throttle....or was this already done in Hikaru VF-1J? I'm checking my Hikaru VF-1J and it's also has the new pilot sculpt (i.e. different from the Hikaru 1A, Max 1A, and Roy 1S) with flight stick in hand. Thanks for the pics 柿崎速雄. Thanks for the pics 柿崎速雄. yes, all TV style VF-1 must come with a new sculpt pilot, because the cockpit design are different from the movie version VF-1, yamato have sense of it but anyway, I must replace a movie pilot and modify it to become a TV pilot(just like I done on the MAX -1A before), because the sculpt of the head have much better looking then the TV pilot. and this original MAX one I will repaint it in green and leave that to the CF-1A... 1 VF-1 2NV
......... Is it me or all 1/48 yamato valks have that hairline crack on the upper thigh just below the engine intake covers ! Edited April 2, 2004 by 1 VF-1 2NV
柿崎速雄
......... Is it me or all 1/48 yamato valks have that hairline crack on the upper thigh just below the engine intake covers ! basically, all 1/48 valks have this hairline crack on the there, but this is the first valks that use color plastic, not in white, and there have a white painting on it, so, you can see the crack very clear. if want to deduce this without adding puddy, must paint some white color inside the gap, then do some polishing works on the surface, finally re-paint it..... so much work to do...but worth it~! Shmitty
Yeah, the main part, not the part attached to the head, but the barrel should be a gunmetal color. Strange that they aren't. **EDIT** Actually, looking at many different pictures, somtimes they're grey, and sometimes they aren't, heh heh... I think the head lasers are supposed to be blue. this one is inconsistent with those displayed at the toy show which have grey head lasers.....then again it has different blue which I think is better than baby blue.
