UN Spacy Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 just heard mari iijima does the voice of aska the ninja in the japanese version dont know about usa. I also heard this a couple of months ago. Are you talking about the video game they just released? I'm not too familiar with this series so I don't know if they ever released an anime. The Amercian version is probably voiced by Reba West. Hahahahaha. I kid. I kid. She would be my choice......FOR ME TO POOP ON! Quote
Macrosso Posted March 24, 2004 Author Posted March 24, 2004 no the game its coming here to us in couple week or day i think on here site it says it will be all in english with jap subs. maybe her voice will be in the us version. Quote
Commander McBride Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 She does the role in english only. There is no Japanese version. In japan, the game has english dialog, with subtitles. Unless I'm confusing it with something else... Quote
Opus Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 She lives in LA. She's been AMERICANIZIED! It's all part of Harmony Gold's evil plot. Quote
Gaijin Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 Yes, this has been known for awhile in fact, at last year's E3, that Mari was doing the voice. Quote
ManxoChu Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 (edited) Cy Girls, by Konami. I saw a few articles stating that the game's being released today, maybe was even released yesterday. Edit--FYI, it's a PS2 game. Edited March 24, 2004 by ManxoChu Quote
Gaijin Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 I had some high hopes for it when I first saw it...but so far only mediocre reviews. I may buy it just to hear good ol' Mari. Quote

mikeszekely Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Okay, I stared playing Asuka's disc yesterday at work (I didn't have time to play Ice, the other girl's disc). And I have to go on record as saying a ridiculous control scheme ruins any change Cy Girls had of being a good game. Basically what it boils down to is that, instead of pushing the analog stick in a direction and having Asuka move in that direction, you move a cursor with the analog stick, and Asuka moves toward the cursor. Add to that counter-intuitive mapping of the face buttons, and you have a game that's kinda like the N-Gage... looks good on paper, but fails terribly on the execution. Quote
Vostok 7 Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Ahhh the N-Gouge. I'm suprised it hasn't failed already. Vostok 7 Quote
DarkPhoenix Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 It pretty much HAS failed. =P What other game system do you know of let you get 3 games and the system for a hundred less then its original retail price less then a month after it came out? =P Hell, even Nokia has finally admitted its pretty much a failure.. Good point. That thing was doomed to failure from the get-go as far as I was concerned. $300 for a handheld that had crap for graphics, was impossible to change games on, and made you look like a dumbass using the phone part? Please. Vostok 7 Quote
Gaijin Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Maybe I'll just rent it first. As for the Ngage...when they're marked down to 50 bucks, I'll buy em all and sell em again in a few years to the collectors. Quote
Jolly Rogers Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Like the Panasonic version of GameCube that plays DVDs too? How much are these things worth these days? I heard they're no longer produced. Quote
