Matchbox 1/6300 SDF-1

Guys,

I was wondering if $60 was a good price for this. I actually wanted the Taka version, but could not find it cheap. I thought this might be the next best thing.

I guess it's ok. I personally wouldn't pay that much for the small version of the SDF-1. Just as long as you like it then it's worth it.

I suspect this one is a bootleg.

1. It has simplied chinese label on the box and instruction sheet.

2. The color doesn't exactly match what I have in the memory.

3. It funky labels.

4. It come with a SD valkyire, which is NOT packaged with any SDF-1 as I known

5. From looking at the photos, I don't think it can transform at all.

6. Last, I don't see any matchbox logo on the box from the photo.

In my opinion, it's definitely doesn't worth US$60.

I won't even pay for the shipping cost even the item itself is free.

Plus, the real thing (taka or matchbox version) is only $30 more!

No 1/6300 scale Takatoku or Matchbox SDF-1 can transform. Only the 1/3000 does.

It's definitely not a bootleg. I had one of them. There's a ton of diecast in these things, but until like 6 months ago you wouldn't get more than $30 for them, then the price shot up. Some people have been saying they are transformable in their auctions though.

wow, I had that thing when I was a kid, I played with it until the carriers wouldn't stick to the arms anymore. I would definatly pay $60 for it.

wait, now that I take a close look at it, it does seem to be a bootleg, the red landing gear are a giveaway, the landing gear on mine was die-cast.

Also, the body wasn't super-white, like this one.

However, I might be wrong, mine transformed, and came packaged in a window box

Note that this is the Harmony Gold labelled version, not the Matchbox one. That probably is the reason for the small differences noted. Also why would anyone bootleg this particular toy--if you're going to go to the trouble, why not bootleg the 1/3000?

Finally, if you're remembering a transforming SDF-1, then you're either thinking of the 1/3000 one, or one of the really crappy small ones.

Now that I think about it, I am pretty sure it was the 1/3000 scale I had.
