Mervin Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 Hi, Has anyone ordered from HobbySearch (www.1999.co.jp/eng) before ? How's their reliability? I get most of my Japanese stuff from HLJ. But HLJ doesn't have the item I want and HobbySearch does. thanks, Mervin Quote
Jolly Rogers Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 I've ordered from them a lot in the past. More reliable than HLJ - faster e-mail replies, and they never screwed up my order. They even include a printout of your invoice/receipt in your order and wrap each kit carefully in a plastic bag. You definitely get more for what you pay for, which is below the MSRP HLJ usually charges people. Highly recommended. Order with confidence. If you are looking for larger/heavier kits, may I suggest Best 1 Hobby. They ship from the US so the savings on shipping often justifies the price, which is only slightly higher than the yen MSRP. Mechwarrior Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 I ordered something from them around Christmas last year, the shipping was faster then HLJ, and a little cheaper if I recall right. Quote
Graham Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 I ordered something from them around Christmas last year, the shipping was faster then HLJ, and a little cheaper if I recall right. Heh, it would be difficult to get slower shipping than HLJ! Graham Quote
Mechleader Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 Yes I ordered the 1/7 Darth Vader when it first came out. Then I ordered the Hase photoetched parts. Good place. Responded to emails. Quote
