xstoys Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 (edited) Hi all, Ok, since the cat is out of the bag now. Here it is, the first posted shot of my latest & greatest custom 12" Guld Goa Bowman figure. My apologies for the blinding flash. It makes a great companion piece to the 12" Isamu Dyson from last year. & YES, that is what you think it is in the background! Please LMK your comments. xstoys Edited August 31, 2003 by xstoys Quote
Mechamaniac Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 I beg you, please please have Graham show these to Yamato so that maybe the rest of us will get a chance to have them one day!. Quote
kidkorrupt Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 so, where did you buy that man? lol just kidding, great work on it...you totally deserved your prize, sorry we couldn't find something better for you. in the background is the holy grail. Quote
Golden Arms Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 Awesome custom XStoys. I have to agree with Mech. You ought to send a sample to Graham so he can show it to yamato. Quote
KingNor Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 what are we lookin at in the backround? henshin robo? Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 whoa!! Awesome work tony!! Bad @$$ custom. I likes!!! I'm guessing that kidkorrupt is talking about the tread in the background as being the holy grail. Am I right? And are we going to see a recast of this anytime soon? Quote
UN Spacy Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 Another piece of excellent work xstoys. Are you going to complete the trio with a Myung figure next year (complete with Sharon Apple mini statue)? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed..... Quote
Hoptimus Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 I love those figures. I wish I could have gone this year. Quote
Omni Existence Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 Cool! Finally Isamu has his green-haired buddy with him No offense XSToys, but the angle of the Guld pic reminds me of that lead toy villain from Toy Solders. All we need now is a 1/6th Myung! Quote
yellowlightman Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 Wait... HOW did you sculpt his head again? Seriously though, thanks for the great talks about your awesome customs. Can't wait to see what you pull off next year! Quote
Murphy Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 whoa very cool, cant wait for a myung one to come out too Quote
VF-1S Alpha Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 As always great job!!! Each year seems to have some delightful surprises coming out! So any chance we will see a Hikaru in DYRL uniform version? Yamato! Wake up!!! Hire this guy services!!!! Paulo Quote
Rob Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 WOW tony you outdid yourself again on this one. Too bad i couldnt be there this year to see this stuff in person. And ofcours talk again with all of you.Oh well maybe next year again. Quote
Myersjessee Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 TONY!!! STUNNING!!! MAN o MAN!!! Have you ever considered doing a limited run of these for your fans?? (people like me??? ) Quote
Commander McBride Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 what are we lookin at in the backround? henshin robo? That's the rarest of rare, the Lansay Tred. I believe there are 5 of them in existance. Quote
kidkorrupt Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 hey man, get us some close ups of the head at different angles so anyone who could not see this in person can appreciate it a little more. yes indeed, in the back is the infamous lansay tread which is considered the holy grail in macross/mospeada collecting. more than 5 were made but there are 5 documented in existence, not counting all the ones in the trash or rotting in the closet. please read here for more info: http://www.macrossworld.com/mospeada/lansa...y_tread_toy.htm tony has it in box, all inserts, unapplied. its the best one Quote
xstoys Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 Hi All, Thanks for all the kind words & support for my customs! I will keep doing them as long as people still want to see them. According to Shawn, he will be sending the pics of 12" Guld & Isamu to Yamato. Hopefully they will spark interest with Yamato to produce them. Here are a few more detailed shots of the "dynamic duo." & Hopefully by next year they will be a trio... xstoys Quote
JsARCLIGHT Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 Wow, nice job. Combining my two toy loves: Macross and 12" GI Joe dolls... sweet. Quote
rnurmin Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 Wow, Guld Bowman. First is the Isamu figure, now this . Xstoys: is this for sale ??? Quote
crasis Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 WOW! Great job! As much as I love collecting valks, there'll always be a soft spot in my heart for character figures. If put into actual production, these babies would definitely be in my collection (Yamato, I'm looking at you!). Quote
Amped Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 Screw Yamato ( ahem, I mean that in the nicest way!), I've been sayin' since forever that Blue Box Toys (the guys who market Elite Force & CyGIrls figures in the U.S.) oughta snag the Macross License. I think they make the best 1/6 scale figures around. If you sent 'em pix of these awesome figures, that'd haveta get their gears turning!!! *sighs & imagines Elite Force - quality Hikaru in DYRL? flightsuit* Quote
