Angel's Fury Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 (edited) Dreaming & drooling........... of who?????? Millia!!!!!! Edited March 8, 2004 by Angel's Fury Quote
Uxi Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Hmm... I"m mixed. Something with at least minimal articulation SHOULD have been included with the Q-rau, and this one coming out SHOULD have been a better one that could also go into the Q-rau... Need more info for an opinion, though. First impression is definately not good. Quote
imode Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 hey~everybody, don't be so sensitive the news state that the figure are still "IN PLANNING" absolutly without any prototype picture about that--just in japanese text.... Say it again , this article about new miria figure is come with the product introduction of the 1/60 Q-RAU, just a side-information that related to the 1/60 Q-RAU, did all you guy trust the Hobby Japan magazine and my translation? Yes I 'am~! just wait for the scan tomorrow, don't think I'm blowing please.... hehe don't wory about the translation, Hayao. We'll get Imode to do it.
Aegis! Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Negative things about this (If info is right): -This should´ve come with the 1/60 Q-rau from the begining - Yamato clearly doesn´t know how to priorize their resources , investting in two separate figures when they should´ve just invested in the improved figure instead of adding the butt-ugly one with the Q-rau is dumb. Moreover , they could make more profit by selling the Q-rau and (improved) Figure separately instead of bundling them together. - People rich enough to buy the new Millia figure and Q-rau will be left with a spare , poor quality figure. Good things about this: - Those of us who still haven´t bought the Q-rau can get a nicer figure. - If this figure is in a totally different scale , this could mean Yamato is planing a independant , totally new line of articulated ¨action¨ figures. What does this means ? we could have M+ figures , M0 figures , DYRL figures , etc.. etc.. etc... Quote

ewilen Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Does the original report even say that the new figure will be Millia? And even if it is, maybe it was impossible to make an articulated figure that would fit properly. Maybe this is the start of a new line of 1/60 posable Zentradi. I'd be up for that. Quote
Graham Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 This is something that's been in the planning stages for a long time. I'm not sure if it's actually confirmed for production or not. Anyway, I don't have any details, but my best guess would be don't expect articulation, or at very best only extremely limited articulation. While Yamato do make a lot of Character figures for other animes, most of them are little more than fixed pose statues, so expect a similar sort of deal. I think if it gets made, it will probably be something like the standing Banpresto Miria, which is shown in my Q-Rau review, but with hopefully a better sculpt. Graham Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Thanx for letting us know graham! Wow, I can't wait to see what Yamato can do with the faces of this figure, or even if they decide to do a whole line! Quote
Beware of Blast Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Hallelujah! Dangerous curves really make for a more exciting tongue travel. Dis one's mah bag baybeee! I guess I know what you are going to the Millia figure when it comes out. Man, sounds worse that doorknob boy. I mean I aint knocking Millia. If she was on my doorstep, I wouldnt turn her away buy we are talking about a figure. Worse? I could be out there aiding the doorknob boy as a getaway driver if you wanna talk about worse. There is a difference if you want to compare me to the doorknob boy - at least the "fun" I'm gonna have is genuinely my property. Not someone elses'. A thought or an expression is totally different from actually doing it. Quote
