kanata67 Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 I have a vauge memory of having seen this as a kid and thinking it was cool, but I have no idea who made it and why. It's the same design as sludge but different enough so I can't call it a bootleg per-say. Anybody know anything? don't suppose anybody has a spare lower beak??? here's the less than helpful auction link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MEBWN%3AIT&rd=1 Quote
Zentrandude Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 looks like a kitbash or sluge and that one (forgot the name been about 20 years ) had a child and thats what it looks like. Quote
dna Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 I think it was an actual toy (not a kitbash) but I know it wasn't a TF. I think a boot of some kind, but that's all I've got. Quote
kidkorrupt Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 you have acquired a bootleg. its a taiwanese made bootleg of sludge, released here in the 80s. more pics and slightly more info on my old transformers site: http://www.geocities.com/kidk0rrupt/bsludge/bsludge.htm they also had a bootleg snarl with a different head and some other changes Quote
Blaine23 Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 Well Sludge and Swoop got a little drunk at the premiere party for Transformers: The Movie... Their romance was hot and furtive, but could not last the test of time. Only their retarted love child remains. Quote

mech9T8 Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 I had the Slag version of what I see in the pic. It looks like someone got creative and crossed Sludge with a Swoop. I don't think the original toy looked like that. But it is definitely a boot leg. Quote
Khyron Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 Gimlock and Slag also had a funky bootleg version just like this Sludge. I don't really remember what they were but do remember seeing them back in the 80's. I did like the Sludge one the best because of the wings. Quote
