Solscud007 Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 (edited) Anime Law pretty funny and has Strike VF-1 as background Edited March 2, 2004 by Solscud007 Quote
Anubis Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 #17 - Law of Transient Romantic Unreliability Minmei is a bimbo. #20 - Law of Militaristic Unreliability Huge galaxy-wide armadas, entire armies, and large war machines full of cruel, heartless, bloodthirsty warriors can be stopped and defeated with a single insignificant example of a caring/loving emotion or a song. First Corollary - (from Adam Barnes) Whenever a single war machine (mecha, starship, etc.) goes up against an entire army, the army always loses. Hmmm... Quote
Zentrandude Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 wow this this applys to everything. #36 is too true made me think of lord of the rings abit. lol on 16 and 24. Quote
Mr March Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 Yeah, it's been posted before. But it's still brilliant #18 - Law of Hemoglobin Capacity The human body contains over 12 gallons of blood, sometimes more, under high pressure. Hahahaha. Quote
Anubis Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 It's an old list, but a great one. My favorite is still: #11 - Law of Inherent Combustibility Everything explodes. Everything. Quote
bsu legato Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 My favorite to this day.... #42 - Law of Juvenile Omnipotence Always send a boy to do a man's job. He'll get it done in half the time and twice the angst. Quote
ManxoChu Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 #13 - Law of Energetic Emission There is always an energy build up (commonly referred to as an energy 'bulge') before Mecha or space craft weapons fire. Because of the explosive qualities of weapons, it is believed that this is related to the Law of Inherent Combustibility. For us Street Fighter vets, this is known as "The Shinkuu Hadouken Effect." #41 - Law of Xylolaceration (from Lyndon Harris) Wooden or bamboo swords are just as sharp as metal swords, if not sharper. I wonder if this also applies to the Sakabatou... Quote
JELEINEN Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 This list has been around for years. I've always thought it was rather lame. Quote
GobotFool Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 (edited) #7 - First Law of Temporal Mortality 'Good Guys' and 'Bad Guys' both die in one of two ways - either so quick they don't even see it coming, OR it's a long drawn out affair where the character gains much insight to the workings of society, human existence or why the toast always lands butter side down. God I love this one! There should be something in there about mecha proportions and transformation, how the metal of a mecha is made out of the toughest and most inflexible material known the man, but when needed, can bend and stretch to accommodate a really cool transformation. Godzilla Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 #27 - Law of Conservation of Firepower (from Tom Williams) Any powerful weapon capable of destroying/defeating an opponent in a single shot will invariably be reserved and used only as a last resort. Sounds like Star Blazers/Spaceship Yamato. Quote
