Hi folks, looking for some help here.

Is there any way to tell wether the Mac+ vol. 2 DVD is 1st or 2nd run by the packaging?

ie. catalog # etc.

Silly question, but why does it matter?

Do the Versio 1 discs have some unknown collector's value? or are they like the infamous V1 Evangelion DVD's that were just of craptastic quality.

IIRC the first runs were in 4.1 audio(instead of 5.1) and the subs were way off on vol 2. I had to send mine to Manga for replacements. That was like 4-5 years ago. I don't think any of those are on store shelves anymore.

This what I found at animeondvd.com

You can tell the second pressing by the white label at the top of the DVD case. The second pressing says "Macross Plus/ Volume 2 Parts 3 & 4"

If you find a really dusty copy under a dark shelf in a retail store, then you've got the old batch version. Otherwise, anything you pick up now should be fine.
