LOL well talking about the "Robotech" Ben Dixon.. he was annoying and IMO should of died on his first mission. never seen someone's Valk/Battleroid shot so many times and the pilot survive. He got shot more than Rick Hunter. Having seen the episodes over and over, I have never seen Ben shoot down even one enemy. IMHO, he was a JAFO (Just Another Freekin Observer)
ewilen Posted March 1, 2004 Posted March 1, 2004 I was disappointed to find that, if anything, Kakizaki is more annoying in the original TV series than he is in Robotech. But you've got to acknowledge that the guy had heart. I also think he did manage to get some licks in against the enemy once or twice.

And then how massively diffrent their personalities are? I think Kakizaki was something of a cautionary tale about the dangers of being too arrogant. ... And comic relief. Untill he died.
