Ranger565 Posted February 26, 2004 Posted February 26, 2004 (edited) Hey Guys, Well I found a way to Convert a Bandi VF-1J SUPER Max Type to a Gerwalk VF1J Miria With arms As you know, I dont know any 1/72 scale Gerwalk SUPER VF-1J. However with this kit it is possiable, and with a little patience it should look fine. Here is a picture of the kit http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00236.JPE Now that you know what Kit I am Talking about lets get down the the Conversion Stuff you will need! 1. GOOD hobby knife (as always) 2. Sheet of Styrene (FLAT ) sheet Picture of the Styrene that can be bought at a local Hobby shop http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00238.JPE Now First find the Model part that looks like This. Its is #110 of the Kit http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00229.JPE Once you have this part number #110 CUT along the Edge of this Line marked in Red http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00229b.JPE Once you have the pieces Separated and sanded down to make them smooth you need to makea side wall with your Plasitic Styrene http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00234.JPE once you have made your wall cut from the Styrene you can putty it up do whatever you need and will look like this when finished http://webpages.charter.net/wampler56/DSC00230.JPE Here is a picture of what I have completed so far All the parts that you need to make the LEGS and arms are Included in this kit. The only Piece that is not included is The Forarm Armor for the VF-1J so you need to cut and make what I have done. Now the Model I have is not quite finished but You can see what results I will have once I am done. its just a simple cut and Glue and you can take a Cheep easy to find model and make it a Conversion here are the extra parts included Well I hope you like the Idea. Its something I have come up with. However NOW I find there is trouble with my paint sceme. however I am working on research. For 1 thing I do know. the "TRADITIONAL" Miria Fighter did NOT Have Red Armor on the Legs like in this Yamato To come out soon. and HER Arm armor is NOT blue its RED. This yamato picture of her super is a NO NO Ranger565 Edited February 26, 2004 by Ranger565 Quote
Neova Posted February 26, 2004 Posted February 26, 2004 Great tutorial but I think the color matched FP is gorgeous! In fact, I think the whole FP get up needs to be color matched but thats my taste. Quote
