drifand Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Hmm, so far, I think ruskiiVFaussie has done the best job of showing off the 1/60. That last photo is excellent for the angle on the head. Good job! But you used stands! No fair! (Kidding) Kicker773, good attempt, but every toy has its own pluses and minuses. In mirroring the poses I put the 1/72 into, the 1/60 isn't holding up too well, especially when the limits of the elbows are exposed. Try posing the 1/60 on its own strengths, which come from the much improved leg articulation (hips, knees, ankles). The kneeling shots are a great start! And the head definitely looks best when it ISN'T staring straight into the camera. Keep 'em coming, guys! :-)
jenius Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Meh, I don't see any reason to believe the 1/72 looks better in Drifand's pics than the 1/60 does in Kicker's. Yeah, clearly Drifand has the better picture-taking environment and maybe lined up his shots a bit better but I still see metal painted in a way that doesn't perfectly match the plastic, giant exposed knees, and thick seams that are clearly not apparent in the more poseable 1/60. I look forward to the day I'll have a 1/60 to bash around with in a photo shoot
Kicker773 Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 I didn't really get a chance to play with the YF19 too much, i was busy rearranging things to make them fit in the display case...I'll try again don't worry =) and I'll do a better job with the background and lighting... i was actually busy taking pics of other collection (other display case) which turned out quiet nice and this one came out especially nice =) now back on the valkyrie topics
jenius Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Photo Lesson 1: Before taking pics of display cases, open the door! I only collect Macross and Mospeada so I have no idea what any of that stuff is but it looks pretty cool.
Mechafan Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 That is some nice Gundam Wing Endless Walz figures. Hey Heavy Arms needs to be in the front.
kanedaestes Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 I agree, where's Heavy Arms Custom???? Anyway i am surprised no one has tried posing the yf-19 in the i"m about to bat the hell out of guld with my gun pod pose yet.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Hmm, so far, I think ruskiiVFaussie has done the best job of showing off the 1/60. And the head definitely looks best when it ISN'T staring straight into the camera. Keep 'em coming, guys! :-) If i had the other variations of the Flexi Stands my PPB Sheild Charge would have been more kick ass! I will try to do more poses when i get more time. Thanks for the Good Job remark!
Kicker773 Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 lighting owns me =(, but oh well i tried, had a few moments to screw around with the camera.. oh and jenius its out of the display case this time.. I promise here's a few poses, i looked for some cool poses from the movie, but there only a handful that i could do.. especially with the lmited hands (sorry i tried having the YF19 hold the gun upside down to beat up on the 21, but no worky worky) Look in the sky its plane, its a bird, its OMG! Aiming for what?! Whats coming to you! Duel! Shine Guld!!! Myung!! Reach out and touch someone!!
eugimon Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 heh, the first picks of the yf-19 doing that flying kick are too sweet.
wolfx Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 BUSTAAAA KICCCCKKKKKEEERR!!! Awesome stuff! Nice blackyhands.,
drifand Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 NOW we're talking. That's more like it. I gotta scrounge up some spare hands (preferrably in blue) for the 1/72 as well!
ruskiiVFaussie Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) Awesome flying kick pose Kicker! Have you got the one flexi stand? Or a multitude of em to swap the different lengths around? Something i am lacking. One stand restricts poses! Watch this space, my super poses are coming soon. Edited December 30, 2006 by ruskiiVFaussie
Wicked Ace Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) This thread is out of control! No flying kicks here. Edited December 30, 2006 by Wicked Ace
mister_e Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Wow! It's amazing how much better the Stealth VF-1 looks with an S head
Kicker773 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Awesome flying kick pose Kicker! Have you got the one flexi stand? Or a multitude of em to swap the different lengths around? Something i am lacking. One stand restricts poses! Watch this space, my super poses are coming soon. no just one, its a 4inch one.. i had a six inch and a 2inch, but i had to do a hack job to make it work for the wingzero. I needed a nine-12inch one but L&F toys didn't make it in that size, so i joined two six inches and used the remaining 2inches to make it work. So i'm only left with one for now..
UN Spacy Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I love all of the pictures fellas. I'm on pins and needles waiting for my pretty girl.
Wicked Ace Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 YF-19 is getting sleepy. I know who he's been partying with.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 hahahahahhahh!!!! XD Beer??? No way, Gulds a rum man. Need something heavier to stop the shakes mahn! ~_~
wolfx Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Here's my set of battroid pics. Isamu takes to the pitch....and....it looks like a screwball! Slightly change the stand's angle and slight repose and you get....Pin Point Barrier Punch!! Another angle Mode of the week....battroid mode! Looks familiar....a scene from Macross 7?
the_foul_fowl Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Wow, very nice poses guys! Somehow, the head and the articulation plus the poses especially the flying kick ones, reminds me of the mecha from Eureka 7
Mr March Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 These are some fantastic YF-19 pictures fellas. The articulation of the battroid mode is especially impressive. I will have to get me one of these
promethuem5 Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Wow....you guys are making me so jealous of how playable the new 19 is....... I hope mine gets here soon!
BoBe-Patt Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 yeah, this YF-19 looks sooo impressive. Makes me want to crack mine open when I get it, but alas, it will go straight to storage.
Mog Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Finally got my YF-19 yesterday (or was it earlier today .............I really should get some sleep) I'm a little surprised that no one thought of (or posted a pic) of this earlier: [attachmentid=39537] [attachmentid=39538] Isamu's "I'm-a-Crazy-Mofo-Who-Doesn't-Mind-Flying-Upside-Down-This-Close-to-the-Ground" Maneuver!
Dante74 Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I'm a little surprised that no one thought of (or posted a pic) of this earlier: [attachmentid=39537] Isamu's "I'm-a-Crazy-Mofo-Who-Doesn't-Mind-Flying-Upside-Down-This-Close-to-the-Ground" Maneuver! AAAAHHHHHH The gunpod is pointing straight at me!!!
BoBe-Patt Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 that'd be cool, but you need the yf21 to complete that scene.
Kicker773 Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 (edited) Welcome to New Edwards Air Base Edited January 26, 2007 by Kicker773
