JB0 Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 Why rely on someone else when you can make your own? You have a computer. PrintScreen, a little cropping and resizing, and BAM. Quote
Anubis Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 I use irfanview to make mine. Cut the part of a image I want to use, resize it to 64 pixels, good to go. Great picture viewer. I don't know how to make animated .gif's though. Quote
the white drew carey Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 I made a whole crapload of 'em for Mac (don't know if they can be used on PC's): gurgle Quote
UN Spacy Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 There was one MW'er from the old forums that made a series of Macross Zero AVATAR's. I think it was treatment that made em (please correct me if I'm wrong). Here's a sample. Quote

JB0 Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 (edited) Why rely on someone else when you can make your own?You have a computer. PrintScreen, a little cropping and resizing, and BAM. Tried it but never had much luck Thanks for the links guys Hybridchild The trick is that when viewing a video on your computer, you probably need to turn down the hardware acceleration on your video card. In a Windows environment, right-click the desktop, select properties, click the settings tab, the advanced button, the troubleshooting tab, and move hte slider down towards "none". I think it's 2 notches from 0 where overlays are disabled and you can start taking screenshots of movies. Just remember to turn it back up when you're through. Edited February 21, 2004 by JB0 Quote
Hybridchild Posted February 22, 2004 Author Posted February 22, 2004 Ill try that but with my computer being so slow and the action ion zero being so fast im not holding out much hope. Hum it might just work for ther stuff though, thanks mate Hybridchild Quote
Final Vegeta Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 Windows Media Player 9 can grab a screenshot with Ctrl+i. This is useful since printscreen usually doesn't work with movies. FV Quote
