How can I tell a ver.2 1/48 VF-1S from an old one

Is there a way to tell a 1/48 ver.2 VF-1S from and old one from the box? Is there a different SKU# or a sticker? I've waited on purchasing one because of the earlier problems. I'd hate to buy one now and still get stuck with an old one.

Thanks

The thing is where I go, the dealers beat their prices by $30-$40, plus no tax or shipping. But they aren't well informed, so they wouldn't know a VF-1S from a Gelgoog. I need to know of a visual way to tell without opening it.

Thanks

You have a most disturbing name Capt. Bukkake... Just wanted to comment on that right now.

Can't help you on your question, so I shall let someone else answer.

One easy way of differentiating: the newer ones don't have Velcro.

If you have a chance to view the box in person than just open the widow flap and look at the following: 1. the reissue has the redisigned pilot seat head rest (rounded instead of flat); 2. I'd say that 99 out of a 100, at least, don't have velcro tabs at the corners of the flap (same as with VF-1J Hikaru). Those are the only two obvious ways I know of to quickly differentiate between the different versions.

Yeah, it'd be interesting if there was a different SKU. Anyone have both and can check?
