baronv Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 I just finished watching Macross II and while it may not be the most exciting story, some of the enemy mech Marduk designs looked real well done. Has there been a toy or models of the enemy figures every sold? How about the updated destroids as well? Quote
Valkyrie Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 There are two that I know of. A 1/100 Gigamesh (what's-his-name's powedered suit) by B-Club, and a 1/72 Marduk battle pod, which came with the Musasiya 1/72 VF-2SS 'Vs. Set' Quote
Myersjessee Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 Thats the only two I have seen as well...never saw the Destroids.... Quote
Grayson72 Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 The ones that come with the VF-2SS I don't think are 1/72 though, they look out of scale to me compared to the fighter. Quote
Druna Skass Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 Was there ever a kit or the VF-2JA? Quote
captain america Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 There were two kits of the VF-2JA made by B-CLUB: one fighter mode, and one battroid, both in 1/100 scale. OK sculpt, nothing amazing, but definitely nice subject matter. Quote
neptunesurvey Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 The VF-2SS kit's Marduk battle pods are about 1/200th. Quote
baronv Posted February 16, 2004 Author Posted February 16, 2004 Any body have a link to images of the Gigamesh or the battlepods? I'm guessing that they're very rare. Quote
mechaninac Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 (what's-his-name's powedered suit) I think his name was Fef (sp?) Quote
Myersjessee Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 I can take pictures of them both if no one has links...(I know they are out there somewhere, but I can't remember where...sorry ) IUm out of pocket till the weekend, but I can take pictures then... Quote
baronv Posted February 18, 2004 Author Posted February 18, 2004 Yes, please post some photos of the models, that would be great. Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 Well here are the VF-2JA kits: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/b-club/b-club.htm And the best picture I have on-line at the moment of the battlepods is here: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models...musa_v2_box.jpg Its not the best picture though. I don't think any pictures of my Gigamesh are on line at the moment. I'll fix that if I can find it. Carl Quote
13strikevalkyrie13 Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 if anyone ever wants info on macross models, games etc. please look at macrossworld im sure you'll find what you're looking for Quote
Myersjessee Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 if anyone ever wants info on macross models, games etc. please look at macrossworld im sure you'll find what you're looking for unfortunatly, in this case the Gigamesh is not there, and there are not really any good pictures of the Marduke Pods...Grayson or someone had a picture of a diarama with them...but I can't find it. Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 Still no scanner guys or I'm sure I could get you better pics. I hope that'll change after I find a job. Anyways here are all the Macross 2 resin kits that I'm aware of. I think this is it anyways. It took me about 3 hours of digging to find the Gigamesh so its possible I've still got something burried someplace. Enjoy... Carl Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 The kit on the top left is the VF-XS Valkyie-II. Its 1/144 and made by AlucarD. It was an event only release. Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 The kit on the top right was another event only release I got off Yahoo Japan a couple years ago. It had a very simple stylized drawing of the VF-2SS on the box cover that I really liked though I don't think Shawn cared for. Anyways when I got it there was no box. The seller had said he'd lost it which I had a hard time buying as he had the box to take the picture for the auction but what could I do... he was in Japan. I'm also sad to say I've since lost the picture from the auction too. I believe it was on my PC at work which I lost access to when I lost my job. If I had a copy at home I either can't find it or it was lost in one of the PC crashes I've had in the last couple years. I don't think I ever had any information on who the maker of this kit was unless it was on the box art pic which I don't think I have any more. [shawn, if you are reading this do you think you saved that picture?] I believe this is a 1/100 scale VF-2 battloid. Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 And now the Marduk battle pods. The kit comes with 3. Quote
Myersjessee Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 Thanks Carl! Those event only VF2's look awesome! Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 Got it... in fact that's my picture. I see you pulled it from here: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models.../hobby_base.htm Good eye. I must have missed that one in my digging. Since I hate not knowing where something is I just went and dug it up too. Here is the new group shot. Quote
VF-17 Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Just saw these on Starshipmodeler! Battlepods Quote
wwwmwww Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Nice... I believe this is the first time I've seen a set finished. Carl Quote
