wolfx
I originally posted this on the problems thread...but lacked any response. So here it is. Received my takatoys stickers from tmp. W00ts! So I started peeling them yamato stickers, that's when I realise, SOME of them I only peeled off the top layer. Apparently the Yamato stickers have a top layer which looks very visible if stuck to the plastic, but it can be removed and makes the sticker much thinner and less visible on the seams. Did anyone know about this? I found it really hard to take out this layer for most of the stickers though while my real intent was to just peel those yamato stickers off. Its very random that I manage to peel just the layer, and not the whole sticker itself.
eugimon
yeah, I had this happen as well... for me the bottom layer was sticky and got dirty real fast, I still opted for the takatoys stickers... besides, couldn't figure out a way to get the stickers to seperate reliably
Zentrandude
i knew about this for some time. only prob is the stickers will wear out fast without the protective layer.
DatterBoy
Sounds to me as if that layer was not intended to be removed. :Dat
Greyryder
I've seen other stickers like that. That top layer is not meant to come off. A lot of times what gets left behind isn't as vibrant, as it was with the top layer on. It invariably leaves it sticky, and easily damaged. wolfx
Oh well...I guess nothing beats them Taka toys stickers yet.
Sebastian
A clear coat should help to solve the problems you may have by taking the protective layer. Maybe this way does not beat TAka or Devin stickers/declas, but it is cheaper. I guess I will try.
kensei
A spray and wipe of ethanol (70%) would help too before you apply stickers.
Göönk
I removed my Yamato stickers, and it was pretty easy without alcohol. I just use my nail to remove the glue without marking the plastic surface. Maybe if the stickers are there for a long time, it's harder to remove them but my 2 months yamatos stickers were really easy to peel off.
