Rodavan Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I am busy with a CG Glaug and want to finish of with the markings . There is how ever not a lot of info around on the marking and the info I got is not good enough for the small markings. Has anybody got scans of the glaug's decals they build or a close up picture of the glaug's with the markings in place? If you got you can post them here or in the Fanworks page. I add pictue of "Vapor" Glaug toy. Thanks Quote
ewilen Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Um er. Kinda busy to do any scanning right now. But your CG Glaug looks awesome! Congrats! Quote
tetsujin Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 http://1-4-4.home.comcast.net/glaug_decals.png This is from the Imai Glaug kit. Look at the instructions scan in the models section of MW for decal placement. Quote
Rodavan Posted February 11, 2004 Author Posted February 11, 2004 Thanks tetsujin ! Just what I needed. Would there be a big difference between decal from one company to the next? I would still like to see your info ewilen. Thanks Quote

Thanks Sometimes there are differences in different companies' markings - now and then a particular company comes up with something totally new (like Arii's squadron marking on the Tomahawk leg) - but most of the variances are just a result of the fact that the different decal sheets were produced independently. Most Macross subjects have pretty well-defined markings for the high-detail versions of the designs. Quote
ewilen Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Rodavan, I doubt I could improve on that decal scan. All I can offer are pictures from various TIA books and Macross Perfect Memory. In fact, I'm saving that decal scan for when I get around to refurbing my Exosquad Glaug. Great job, Tetsujin! Quote
EXO Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Damn! It would have been a good April Fool's joke If you would have posted that in the toy section as Yamato's 1/60 Glaug... looks great!!! Quote

The real giveaway, though, is the faceted polygon edges on the "spheres" in the feet. It does look great, though. I gotta learn to do that. Quote
Grayson72 Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Yeah, Holy crap I thought it was real for a second, nice one man. Would it help you if I scanned in my decal sheet for you from my 1/72 kit? Quote
