GobotFool Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...1&category=4696 That color scheme has to be one of the worst I have ever seen. Quote
JValk Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Isnt this guy shooting himself in the foot by showing REAL valks, then saying "not for sale" on em? It's like begging buyers to go find better alternatives lol! Quote
EXO Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 The screws are at the front of the arms... Quote
Blaine23 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Isnt this guy shooting himself in the foot by showing REAL valks, then saying "not for sale" on em? It's like begging buyers to go find better alternatives lol! I suppose he is... or you could look at it as if he's deliberately attempting to NOT scam anyone or end up with unhappy buyers. I was actually pretty impressed with his description, which went out of the way to point that this was indeed a bootleg, had no diecast, and couldn't really be compared to quality of a Takatoku or Bandai. I can only imagine how many people buy a cheap POS like this and expect it to be a well-made toy... I was not impressed however, with that bufugly assed valk... The tanish colors aren't hideous by themselves... but throw in that purple loser pack... wow... talk about garish. Quote
Mechafan Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Yup this looks horrible by any standards. Quote
bandit29 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 ugh I guess these are just made from whatever plastic is lying around. This one is pretty hideous. Quote
sbarrett4 Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I have a pair of these. They are a slight improvment over the previous $5 bootleg. Its easy enough to fix the backwards shoulders. These are tighter and hold their position better, in addition to improved (not great) paint apps, ie they are straighter and more defined. The tan one would make a good base for a 1D, its almost the exact same color I used for my custom 1D. Oh, and the packaging is all new and improved It even says "New In Hot" on it. Not sure what they really meant to say there. Quote
UN Spacy Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Sorry to rag on that bootleg but it looks like it's sporting one of those G1 Transformers rub off insignia's. Quote
Southcross Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 The screws are at the front of the arms... LMAO! I actualy missed it the first time I looked at it. Well I'm sure some RT fan that doesn't know schiznit is looking at it going... oooo an Orange Valk.... I must have it Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 hehe, that's what a VF-1D and a VF-1S would look like if they had kids. Quote
TheFrenchOne Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I remmenber an other one with flashy blue and yellow colors scheme on ebay recently (didn't track it and you all know why ) Quote
bsu legato Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Ah yes, I see that the prototype for the next MPC has come up for auction. Quote
Pat Payne Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Isnt this guy shooting himself in the foot by showing REAL valks, then saying "not for sale" on em? It's like begging buyers to go find better alternatives lol! Gaaaaaaaaah! My eyes, my beautiful eyes! Quote
Uxi Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Nothing a bit of paint and TLC won't solve... if one's into customizing chunky monkeys that is... Quote
Druna Skass Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 $10? I saw on of those at a anime shop in the L.A. Chinatown for around half that. Quote
NERV Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 what ever happened to those bootlegs that had the random LED in the cockpit? Quote
Eternal_D Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Ah yes, I see that the prototype for the next MPC has come up for auction. hahahaha! too bad the prototype looks better than the actual product. Quote
dr_vandermeer Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 hehe, that's what a VF-1D and a VF-1S would look like if they had kids. More like if a VF-1S and Blitzwing from Transformers had anal sex and called the resulting piece of poop a baby. PURPLE AND TAN!!!! PURPLE AND TAN!!!! PURPLE AND TAN!!!! sorry, loooooong day. Quote
Greyryder Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 That thing's even worse than the Banpresto knock off someone posted in another thread. I wonder if it was their intention to make someone's eyes bleed? Quote
orguss01 Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 (edited) Is the head a different sculp than the vf-1s and jetfire, looks more rounded??? and dig the skull echoes on the fins..the jolly rodger... Edited February 11, 2004 by orguss01 Quote
Southcross Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Is the head a different sculp than the vf-1s and jetfire, looks more rounded???and dig the skull echoes on the fins..the jolly rodger... The head is actualy (IMO) a jetfire.. but a horrible remold of one... or the remold of a remold of a remold of a remold of my ass put some orange paint on my ass and I bet it would look better than that bootleg possibly.. it might not be a bootleg but HG's new MPC btw, did I say this lately? HG blows my uncle's lame goat! Quote
Rick_Randy Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Is this the original paintjob or a custom valk?? Krusty the clown would love to pilot this baby. Quote
Southcross Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Is this the original paintjob or a custom valk??Krusty the clown would love to pilot this baby. its a horrible horrible bootleg of a TF jetfire sold as a Valkyie Quote
BFG-1 Gigan Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Actualy that color scheme was used in another G1 Transformer, Blitzwing who transformed into a tank, jet fighter, and a robot. Quote
Solscud007 Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 dont you see they are trying to faze in an ostrich color scheme but ran out of orange die. Quote
eriku Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 Wow...that's scary! I'd buy it if I came across it in a dollar store though. I wonder what the head was cast from, because it doesn't look like the chunky monkey 1S head. Looks better actually. Quote
EXO Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 looks like the 1990 reissue head. But the chn area looks smaller. Quote

Guppy Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 AAHHHH! OMG, that is the ugliest thing I have seen since the last time I was in the welfare office, many years ago! lol. I love the guy's descritpion. He should be a car salesman. "THESE ARE SUPER HARD TO FIND, AND YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER SEE THESE IN A STORE. ALSO, YOU WILL NEVER SEE THEM AT A BARGAIN PRICE LIKE THIS. You are bidding on (1) made in Hong Kong copY of a 1/55 scale valkyrie jet. It comes to you new on sealed card. It transforms into 3 modes. Jet fighter mode/ Gerwalk mode/ and Batteroid mode. It stand about 9 inches tall(same size as jetfire). Item is all plastice with no die cast, but is very detailed, and will look really cool standing in your collection. " Quote
