Ancalagon Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Hi! Here are some pictures of my Hasegawa models. Sorry for the bad picture quality. VF-1 Quote
Grayson72 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Wow you sure have been busy building. They all look really well done, just like the picture one the sides of the box. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Angel's Fury Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Beautiful, simply beautiful Ancalagon! Keep up the good work! That YF-21 is just simply WOW! Quote

Neova Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Really impressive. Right up there with the masters wmcheng, jung, kurt and others. Quote
GunnerX Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Very nice! Wish i could build as many! Quote
Gabe Q Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Those are beautiful. I like the really clean look. You had to give it to us all in one shot? You couldn't of spread it out a little? Some questions if you don't mind. What pilot figure did you use for the Miria kit? Is it a modified Hasegawa VF-1 pilot? Also, I think you used the perfect shades of color on every valk. I'm starting my max & miria kit and I would really appreciate it if you could tell me exactly what shades you used. The brand of paint and the exact mixtures of shades? I really, really, really, and most definitely like your work. Quote
007-vf1 Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Damn!! that's so freaking cool...so many...... How long did it take you to build that many? Unlike Gabe I like an slightly weathered look because it brings out the detail lines and it gives it a moder 3D look just like on the VF-1D. Don't i wish you had more close up HQ resolution pics of them...? Quote

VFX Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Great work! Now you need the matching Batroids Quote
trueblueeyes Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 (edited) Angelbirds! Seriously, they all look terrific! Even poor Kakizaki is wonderfully represented. Just wondering if you would mind sharing the paint colors that you used on the models. It would certainly help quite a bit! I especially love the color on the M&M VF-1's, Kakizaki's VF-1, and the YF-21! Wonderful work..thanks for sharing! Gerwalker Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 What to say... yours is the most complete and nice Macross model colection I've seen so far!! The YF-21 with the grey panneling is beautiful, that's how i wan to pain mine. thanks for sharing Quote
Ancalagon Posted February 12, 2004 Author Posted February 12, 2004 Thanks for all your comments! First of all, my english sucks!! Some questions if you don't mind. What pilot figure did you use for the Miria kit? Is it a modified Hasegawa VF-1 pilot? No, it's a pilot figure from a Bandai variable 1/72 VF-1 kit. Also, I think you used the perfect shades of color on every valk. I'm starting my max & miria kit and I would really appreciate it if you could tell me exactly what shades you used. The brand of paint and the exact mixtures of shades? I only use Hobby Color from Gunze and some Tamya colors for all my kits. The mixture is the same as it is shown in the manual. Don't i wish you had more close up HQ resolution pics of them...? Sorry, I don't have a digi cam. If anyone could give me some tips how I can improve my kits, i would be very grateful. There are some things I don't like about them. Like the panel lines on my max and miria and the fast packs of my super and strike. Quote

hirohawa Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 2 comments. Incredible quality of work! Incredible productivity! This thread looks like a Hasegawa catologue. I nearly drove myself crazy building 1 Hasegawa battroid kit so your work is truly impressive. Quote
Captain Angel Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 Impressive Colection. Nicely done, how long did it take to build them all? Quote
Ancalagon Posted February 13, 2004 Author Posted February 13, 2004 Impressive Colection. Nicely done, how long did it take to build them all? When I have time, it takes me 2 weeks to complete 1 valk. Last year I only had time for 1 valk. Quote
